Despite being bemoaned by many a “learned” firearms enthusiast MiM, or metal injection molding, is a common process used to create small parts. It is expensive to set up.  But when used in high-volume applications for small complex components, it can create cost-effective ready-to-go parts in just one go where machining billet is too costly. When done well. MiM has 99% of the strength as billet construction.

I’ve made no secret about my affection for Lone Wolf Distributors products. Having reviewed various items including the UAT Trigger, various barrels, and their guide rods, Lone Wolf consistently reinforces why Glock is a far cry from the “Perfection” they so boldly tout. The Glock, while an excellent handgun, can be easily and quickly upgraded.

The craze for pistol caliber carbines has been burning bright and hot for the last year. With various companies launching dedicated to the platform including Quarter Circle 10, Angstadt Arms, and others, the 9mm community has received a significant dose of adrenalin. However, various established companies have also taken up the mantle including the leader in aftermarket Glock accessories, Lone Wolf Distributors.

Agency Arms is very well known for the custom Glock jobs that the company offers, both as a product in and of itself and as a service for customers sending their handguns in. At SHOT 2017 Agency Arms displayed some of their work on M&P full size handguns at the Brownells booth. Currently the company appears to just be working on the older M&P, but with the release of the 2.0, it looks like Agency will have to begin work on offering custom packages on that platform as well. The modifications involves a gratuitous amount of stippling, suppressor height sights, various lightening cuts, reflex sight cut out, custom trigger (not sure which drop in), and added slide serrations for ease of operation. It appears that Agency wants to go slow on the M&P with the amount of modifications before actually delving in and completely altering the handgun like they are very fond of doing to a large number of Glocks that bear the Agency name.

Prior to taking the Glock Armorers course, I didn’t pay much attention to how a Glock functioned. I knew it worked and that was enough for me, but to understand how to diagnose the rare issues that might pop up with Glocks you need to understand how they work. During the class my instructor did a wonderful job of explaining how things work, but what took him close to a half an hour, Lone Wolf has done in about 7 minutes with their latest video.

Lone Wolf has brought another aftermarket slide to the market, this time with an OEM slide profile. This comes as a bit of a surprise given Glock’s history with filing suit against anyone producing something that might violate their trade dress protection. Never the less, Lone Wolf has produced a slide that when compared to the original that come with a new Glock Gen 1-3, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference at a glance.

So, now that I have been playing around with modifications to my Glock 17 in the pursuit of building a “race” gun, or NotGlock, I have started to encounter interesting issues. Take for example, installing a Ghost Elite Trigger Connecter which requires fitting…

Lone Wolf has some interesting new products. Their Alpha Wolf series of barrels are American made with Black Nitride coatings. They come in standard or threaded variations. They are made for the most popular Glock models such as the 17, 19, 22, 23, 21. Nothing yet for the long slides. They will range between $139 for the standard barrel and $159 for threaded barrels.

Lone Wolf is selling a compensator designed to work with their barrels (and I presume an others that meet the specifications) in 9mm, 40S&W, and their 9mm conversion for 40 S&W.

Since I started shooting handguns, I have gravitated towards Glocks. Not because they are pretty (though pretty utilitarian), but because I chose a platform that has immense aftermarket support. Now down to only a single “stock” Glock, the others invariably have collected parts from Lone Wolf Distributors, which is the largest name in Glock parts.

Meeee likey (but then again, I like GLOCKs). Lone Wolf Distributing sent out some wonderful photos of their Machine Pattern #4. The new pattern keeps the aggressive cocking serrations, adding some great ribbing to the top of the slide.

Lone Wolf Distributors is coming out with a metal Glock Mag Coupler. They only had two prototypes on hand and no real information on price. They estimate these will come out in 2 months.

My first thought when these arrived was” “OOooooo, Shiny!”. Packed in two little bags with demure labeling were two new Glock Gen 4 Guide Rods by Lone Wolf Distributors. These were their latest release of in-house upgrades for the Glock platform.

Lone Wolf Distributors has a history of supporting the Glock line with aftermarket accessories including barrels and other parts. The company is now selling something they are calling the Ultimate Adjustable Trigger (UAT.)
