LMT Advanced Technologies and LMT Defense have teamed up to offer LMT AT ION 30 rifle suppressor buyers the eligibility to receive a free LMT lower receiver. The ION 30 LMT AT suppressor is optimized to provide shooters with maximum at-ear decibel reduction while preserving host weapon cyclic rates, reliability, and functionality. LMT Defense (Lewis Machine Tool) has been a long-time supplier of both the United States military as well as law enforcement and commercial consumers. The company is popular for manufacturing high-quality AR-15 rifles and parts as well as some heavier hitting items like the M203 40mm grenade launcher. TFB had the pleasure of hosting Joe and Randy from LMT Defense who showcased their new MRP offerings, Estonian Rifle, and their new two-stage trigger offering for 2021.

This week it was announced that LMT Defense had gained a contract from the United States Army for $17,031,520 firm fixed price for a new production run of the M203/M203A2 40MM Grenade launcher. The Dutch Ministry of Defense is looking for a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) via their Defence Materiel Organisation.

LMT Defense has announced the opening of their new facility located in Eldridge, Iowa. The construction works of the facility began in 2018. This decision was made to allow the company to expand and fulfill the new orders and contracts, namely, the recent Estonian Defence Forces contract.

LMT Defense have confirmed their award of the contract for the Estonian Defence Forces new 5.56×45 and 7.62x51mm rifles. We have been closely following the Estonian rifle trials here at TFB and back in December 2018, we reported that Estonia’s military had chosen two of LMT’s rifles. The contracts have now been signed and production and deliveries will begin soon.

LMT Defense ( Lewis Machine & Tool Company) attended SHOT Show’s “Industry Day at the Range” and brought with them some very cool firearms like many companies in attendance. All of our left-handed shooters in the audience will be glad to hear that for 2019 LMT Defense is producing completely ambidextrous versions of their MARS (Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System) firearms.
