POTD: Royal Marines Reserves in Cyprus
Who doesn’t want a giant Trijicon ACOG sight on their AR? I recently had the opportunity to peek through a Trijicon ACOG 6×48 scope with its bullet drop compensator reticle, and it’s really super bright. The eyebox is super-forgiving. The L129A1 is a semi-automatic designated marksman rifle used by the British Armed Forces, and the Royal Marines Reserves as seen here. The rifle is manufactured by Lewis Machine & Tool Company (LMT), and it is based on the LMT MWS (Modular Weapon System) platform.
LMT is Making Suppressors Now?! [GunCon 2023]
TFBTV and James Reeves are at Brownells covering GunCon 2023. In this episode, James speaks with his good friend, Joe Hajny of LMT, about LMT’s new suppressor line. Well known as a premium supplier of military and Law Enforcement M4s, AR-15s, AR-10s, and similar carbines, it only makes sense that LMT gets into the suppressor game, making their own line of reasonably priced suppressors designed to package with their carbines and rifles.

[TFB GUNFEST] LMT's Shot Counter Grip Module For Military And LE
Lewis Machine & Tool’s Estonian rifle contract has been news for some time, of which TFB has covered, but the LMT Shot Counter technology that was also rolled out with that rifle hasn’t attracted much attention. One reason for the lack of coverage could be the lack of marketability for non-military and police users. However, during TFB’s GunFest 2021 coverage, Joe from LMT went into further discussion about what the Shot Counter is capable of, which is much more than just round counting. Firearm aficionados should be able to appreciate it even if it’s outside of their budget or needs.

Lewis Machine & Tool’s entries have beaten out rival bids from SIG and HK.
LMT Warranties Components with New Zealand Defense Forces MARS-L
The New Zealand Herald has reported that the 9,040 LMT 5.56x45mm MARS-L rifles purchased by the New Zealand Defense Force have suffered critical parts breakage in certain components of the rifles, specifically the firing pins, bolt carriers and inside the trigger mechanism (the specific part is not mentioned in the article). According to the article, issues came about with a number of rifles that were seeing constant use in training. After an initial assessment and following warranty agreements, LMT has replaced the parts in question on every rifle that was bought by the NZDF in addition to updating the inspection protocols under which the rifles have been adopted.
