Dancing FBI Agent Facing Felony Charges
Last week we reported that an FBI agent accidentally opened fire when he hit the dance floor in Denver. The agent negligently discharged his firearm wounding a member of the public in the leg while doing a back flip on a dance floor of a Denver club.
Tampa PD to Replace Smith & Wesson M&P with SIG Sauer P320
According to a press release from SIG Sauer, published on 11 June, Tampa PD have opted to replace their current Smith & Wesson M&P duty pistols with the P320. Tampa PD will purchase 1,375 P320s to equip officers, although no calibre was specified, the department currently uses .40SW.
Chesapeake Police Seek to Donate Seized Sturmgewehr 44
Back in 2009, Chesapeake Police Department seized a fully-automatic, undocumented Sturmgewehr 44. Now they want to donate it to the US Navy’s Naval History and Heritage Command.
The JH16-1: China's New 9×19 Subgun

NYPD Retires Last of its Revolvers
Back in November 2017, we reported that New York Police Department was set to retire its remaining revolvers. The news of the retirement of the last .38 revolvers came in a departmental memo that informed officers that they would have to switch to a semi-automatic before September 2018.

Arizona Police Mount AR-15 Racks on Patrol Motorcycles
Arizona’s Tempe Police Department has begun equipping its motorcycle officers with an rifle mounting system to improve their firepower. The new mounts allow AR-15 rifles to be stored on police bikes for use in dangerous situations. Tempe PD have been using the muzzle-down mount for the last 6 months with 8 bikes being equipped with the rear-mounted rifle rack.
Germany's Hesse Police in Search of New 5.56 Rifle
Germany’s Hesse state police are in search for a new 5.56x45mm rifle. The German defence blog Strategie-Technik reports that Hessian state police have published a tender for ‘mid-range weapons’ to replace their submachine guns currently in service.
