POTD: Latvian Snipers with the Heckler & Koch HK417
I showed the pictures in today’s Photo Of The Day to a friend and he called them “adult entertainment“, except in other words that we must not publish here. He wasn’t wrong, the album “Taktiskais snaiperis” (Tactical Snipers) contains a lot of hot material to get excited about. We have bolt-action and semi-automatic sniper rifles in a wonderful combination. There are firearms from a lot of countries here. You can see the Heckler & Koch HK417 used by the Latvian snipers, which is similar to the German G28. Can you spot the Italian ARX200 Assault Rifle? Take a look and do your best to identify what they’re using.

Photo Of The Day – Back to the eFP Battle Group Latvia that continues their training. A Machine Gun spitting flames, like above, always makes for a good photo. The exercise was called TESTUDO BAYONET, the location was in Estonia, with soldiers from Spain, Canada, Estonia and France. As you can see, the training was done together with various small arms such as machine guns, rifles, pistols, and shotguns.
POTD: East meets West – Snipers in Latvia
It’s in Europe that things happen! East meets West, snipers and snipers systems meet. Just take a look at these Photo(s) Of The Day ( POTD) for an interesting variety. Below you can see some Russian sniper rifles and a shooting range that seems to extend beyond our dreams.

Latvia and Estonia Place Orders for Carl-Gustaf M4 Anti-Tank Weapon System
The Swedish company Saab (no, not the cars) has just received orders from both the Latvian and the Estonian Armed Forces for deliveries of Carl-Gustaf M4 portable anti-tank weapon system. The producer, Saab, calls the Carl Gustaf a “man-portable multi-role weapon system.” This makes sense, considering the wide range of ammunition types that can be used.
POTD: Machine Guns in Saber Strike
