The UK plans to procure 10,000 of the rifles over the next decade at an estimated cost of £90 million ($110 million).

Aimpoint - Supplier Of Red Dot Sights For L403A1

Aimpoint has been chosen to deliver mini red dot sights to the Alternative Individual Weapon System, designated L403A1 to the UK’s Ministry Of Defence. Deliveries will be handled by Aimpoint’s exclusive UK distributor Edgar Brothers. The Alternative Individual Weapon System consists of three elements – the rifle itself made by Knight’s Armament Company and designated L403A1, the optic system L900A1, and a training system. As part of the optic system, Aimpoint will supply the ACRO® P-2 red dot sight.
