The Norwegian Army and Home Guard are possibly some of the best-equipped forces with a variety of modern firearms from Heckler & Koch, Barrett, Glock and FN. The Norwegian Home Guard continues phasing out the old AG-3 (Automatgevær 3), which is the Norwegian version of the Heckler & Koch G3. In total, the Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk in Norway made 253,497 units until the production stopped in 1974.
