In the course of its 77-year history, RCBS has grown from one man’s hobby to a reloading industry leader. When varmint hunting enthusiast Fred T. Huntington began crafting dies just for his personal use in the back of his father’s Oroville, California laundromat, he probably didn’t imagine that in just five short years he would be running his own full-time shop. AK owners often lament that AR’s get all the attention and love. With the customer base orders of magnitude larger for the AR, I can see that as a true statement. While picatinny rails and the various aftermarket modular attachment systems have opened up the AK platform, there are plenty of other items that just don’t get the same attention, like cleaning kits.

According to the Marine Corps Times (which is not formally affiliated with the United States Marine Corps), the USMC is starting to phase out the OTIS soft cleaning kits in favor of an old-time favorite – the three rod cleaning kits originally issued with the M16A1 rifles.

The Tennessee-based company is coming out with a line of Realtree camo gun cleaning kits and range bags in a variety of styles, each designed to be used on a particular firearm or for a specific need. Although their products are manufactured overseas, they all come with a lifetime warranty, so if there are manufacturer defects a return is guaranteed.

Already in full production, but on KickStarter for “Marketing” is the PaperShooter Zombie Slayer, a hybrid airsoft gun using formed paper pellets for ammunition. But, production does not mean its out-of-the-box ready to shoot, its a kit that you must assemble yourself.

I am an unabashed bullpup rifle afficianado. While I shoot an AR/ARAK in competition, I am constant pulled back to bullpups as a solution to many problems, especially home defense. Hank Strange gets his strange on shooting the two side-by-side.
