John Rigby & Co. have revived this type of action in their line of hunting rifles by introducing a limited edition run of Farquharson action falling block rifles. These new Rigby falling block rifles are designed for dangerous game hunting and will be offered chambered in .416 Rigby No. 2 cartridge only.

Land Rover vehicles – perfect means of transportation for hunting trips with bespoke British guns! Well, British gunmakers apparently agree with this statement as they introduce custom Land Rovers tailored for this purpose. We’ve previously seen the Holland & Holland Range Rover and today we’ll take a look at another British gun company and Land Rover vehicle symbiosis – the Rigby Land Rover, a Defender 130 customized with  John Rigby & Co features and details. In collaboration with  Traditional English Guncases (TEG) and Kingsmen Editions, Rigby turned this retired work horse into a brave field hunter. Rigby call their creation fit for a king.

The days of strict lockdown and quarantine are behind for most of us, and hopefully the whole pandemic nightmare will soon be a thing of the past for the whole world. During these difficult times, we had to find ways to cope with new routines. Some of us may have dedicated more time to their family, some may taken up new hobbies, some may have trained. The craftsmen at John Rigby & Co. just locked themselves in the factory and kept working.

After over two decades since the introduction of their last cartridge,  John Rigby and Co. have revealed a new hunting cartridge – the .416 Rigby No. 2. This new .416 caliber cartridge is basically the rimmed version of the .416 Rigby. The addition of the rim will make it more suitable for being chambered in double rifles such as the Rigby Rising Bite.

Almost every single exposed metal part of this Rigby rifle is hand engraved with elephant skin pattern – even the barrel! It is not anything common to see an engraved barrel even among such high-end bespoke rifles. It is so beautifully engraved that it seems to be made by an alchemist who found a way to turn the elephant skin into steel.

John Rigby & Co., one of the famous British manufacturers of high-end hunting rifles, has published on their social media pages a set of images of their latest engraved bespoke rifle. The rifle’s model is London Best “Kumaon”. It is based on Mauser action and is chambered in .350 Rigby Magnum.

But these were either gun related (hunting apparel, accessories etc.) or just small items bearing their logo – mugs, casual apparel, souvenirs and whatnot. Anyway, to my knowledge, this is the first time a gun company sells alcohol drinks under its brand! Correct me if I am wrong.
