Jerry Miculek tests out different ammo in the Arsenal Double Barrel Pistol. He loads one magazine with Hornady 220gr +P flex tip hollow point and the other magazine with regular 230 gr ball ammo. The most surprising aspect was the ball round flying through the large cavitation made by the hollow point. Because the hollow point was moving faster through the air, it hit the ballistics gelatin first. The hollow point opened up as designed and started to slow down and create a large wound channel. While the gelatin was expanding from the hollow point, the 230gr ball round caught up to with the hollow point and was traveling in the cavity made by the hollow point.

Competition shooter Jerry Miculek needs no introduction (or explanation). Here he gets off three consecutive shots on targets from 400 yards – off a bench – in under 4.4 seconds. Watching Jerry in action never gets old and I personally enjoy seeing his entire process. Unlike some shooters, who would only show viewers their best shots, Jerry videotapes and talks us through the process that takes him to his under-4.4-seconds shots.

Last year Ryan Cleckner shot a 1000yd target offhand with a Barret M107. Well Jerry Miculek has taken that shot a step further. He is using Hornady 750gr A-Max bullet over Cleckner’s 661gr FMJ.

Jerry Miculek posted this picture on his facebook page. It is a TKB-022PM. It boggles my mind how the round is chambered and fired. There doesn’t seem to be any room behind the magazine for anything mechanical to operate.

It is no longer a surprise when Jerry Miculek raises the performance bar in every new video he presents. This time he hits a steel plate at 1,000 yards with his S&W 929.

Iraqveteran888 and Jerry Miculek look into the practicality of shooting a pistol sideways and upside down. It can be done effectively but Jerry mentions one major disadvantage with shooting sideways.

Jerry posted a video about the pros and cons of carrying a weapon. He has some good tips that some of you may have not considered before. He stresses the importance of awareness and the responsibility of carrying a weapon. He raises the concern of retention for the holster you decide to use. You should learn how to retain your weapon in case someone wants your firearm more than you do.

Jerry Miculek does it again. He practices with an orange and a green apple from 7 yards. Then he kicks it up a few notches and hits a grape from low ready and hits it in 0.53 secs. Aim small, miss small.

Don’t hold your gun like in the picture above. I just illustrated that to draw attention to it as does Jerry in this video. He has plenty of information that you may find helpful. Some of the tips he make contradicts some of the information I had picked up but I am open minded and will try them out.

Jerry Miculek is still fast. Like that is a surprise to anyone. But watch the super slo-mo on the reload. Watching Jerry’s steps broken down in slow motion is just awe inspiring. Seeing him let go of the rounds before they even enter the cylinder so he can get his hand back on fire control simply amazes me. He is using a S&W 929 chambered in 9mm. 8 rds on moonclips.
