At the 2017 Association of the United States Army annual meeting, gunmaker FB Radom was present at the Polish pavilion, displaying their MSBS modular assault rifle, recently named “Grot” (arrowhead) by the Polish government. The new rifle has been selected by the Polish government to replace their legacy AK fleet, many of which are the upgraded 5.56mm “Beryl” variant. Bringing Swiss Arms Goodness Into The US – JDI Firearms

Unique but functional – that is my current mantra for firearm/suppressor acquisition guidelines. I have ARs. In fact, everyone has AR’s. So when I go lusting after a new rifle, I start looking at the list that includes my semi-grail guns. You know the ones – if you save up for a hefty amount of time you can swing it, but your gun budget is dead for the rest of the year. For me, one of those firearms has always been an authentic Sig 553 rifle. And even though the Sig Sauer (USA) versions are now long discontinued, JDI Firearms is making it possible to import beautiful but functional Swiss art.

Lithgow Arms' Premium Bolt Guns Are Coming to the US | SHOT 17

As we wrap up our SHOT Show coverage, we turn to a new company on the US market, but an old name in Australia: Lithgow. This Australian gun company dates back to the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, established before World War I and located in New South Wales. Today, Lithgow brands itself as a high tech manufacturer, advertising its military Atrax bullpup rifle as using a completely novel polymer in the construction of its barrel cradle, for example. Lithgow’s US arm themselves will not be importing the Atrax (that will be handled by Dasan), but rather a line of premium bolt action rifles that have been sold on the Australian civilian market for several years now.

IWI Now Shipping 5.56mm Galil ACE Rifles | SHOT 17

During SHOT Show 2017 Industry Day at the Range, I dropped by the IWI USA booth to see what they had for attendees to shoot. Besides their highly competitive Galil ACE 308, they had also brought the 5.56mm variant of the ACE, which is just now making it into the country. I got a chance to fire these two rifles side by side to compare them. Sadly, IWI’s reps tactically operate their booths with touchscreen-baffling gloves on, and since I ride solo at shows like this that meant I got no photos of me actually shooting the rifles. Oh well, we’ll have to make do with some glamor shots.

MSBS Greenlit To Adoption Pending Polish State Trials, Ahead of "Titan" Program

The Polish government has greenlit the adoption of the MSBS rifle platform, pending state tests of the weapon, ahead and independent of the larger scope rearmament program “Titan” (sometimes also rendered “Titanium”). The reason for this is the much higher level of development of the MSBS system versus other components of the Titan program, however before MSBS is adopted it will still have to pass all the standards set by the Titan program. From Altair.com.pl (pardon the poor machine translation):
