Photo Of The Day: I had my revelation about ten years ago, when will you have yours? That’s when I started learning about night vision and thermals, and it’s an ongoing journey. Back then everything I wanted was way too expensive – or couldn’t be sold to mortals – and the thermals I could (barely) afford were too bad to use. Welcome to our Photo Of The Day! Today we have some great images of one of the hottest accessories at the moment – the Vortex Optics Impact 4000 Ballistic Rail-Mounted Laser Rangefinder.

Oh, baby! We do short-barreled shotguns all too seldom here, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like them. Here’s a magnificent picture taken by Holt Works, and the Vang Comp 870 SBS.

Holt Works Photography produces some amazing photographs. Today we have just one photo of a Brownells 12.5” patrol rifle build. Feeling like building something similar, or do you live in an area where there are barrel length restrictions?

Have you ever tried the CZ Scorpion EVO3? I have, and apart from the trigger, I liked it. This one has had its barrel chopped and it has the drop-in Timney Trigger. I’m pretty far away from this EVO3, but let me say I’m quite interested in trying it out. The Bushmaster stock does give it the look of an FN SCAR-SC in .300BLK, don’t you think?

One of the goals of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to share treasures from the world of firearms, while giving credit to the photographer. Today I think Holt Works Photography really managed to capture the “lifestyle” in the image above. We see a Mossberg Patriot .308 Win bolt-action rifle with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8×24 scope. Our  Photo Of The Day articles collects some of the most eye-catching and visually appealing images. You won’t find a lot of pictures of sunsets, flowers or touristic landmarks around here. This is more about soldiering, firearms, special units, snipers and the odd knife or two.
