POTD: German GSG9 Recruiting Poster with H&K MP5 SD

This year has certainly started with a bang, and our Photo Of The Day has never been so diversified. We’ve been from Novosibirsk, driven hunts to the Japanese Jungle already. Today we have a recruiting poster from the German Special Forces unit called GSG9 (GrenzSchutzGruppe 9). You can see the H&K MP5 SD and a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver.

Photo Of The Day is TFB’s place where you can unwind and just enjoy interesting pictures for a while. While the rest of this blog is stacked with new releases, information and reviews, you can just enjoy the tranquility and beautiful pictures here. We’ve been doing it since 2014 and keep on going, every day of the year. The pictures today are from a firearms demonstration at FLETC firearms range, Cheltenham, Maryland (USA), conducted back in 2014. Above you can see Del Wilber, Bloomberg News, as he fires a shotgun with the assistance of ATF firearms instructor Special Agent Mike Hodnett. That’s a pretty nice flash!

SilencerCo Science: Metering Guns From Call of Duty Modern Warfare

In 2007 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released, and players experienced the latest and greatest in firearms technology in high resolution. Players of the series found themselves immersed in a game with new guns, and not forced to use those same old re-rendered guns their grandparents used in WWII.  Since its release, the Modern Warfare series has taken the world by storm. Recently I found myself in the SilencerCo Batcave with a sound meter already set up, and a little extra time to spare. So like a kid in a candy store, I asked if we could meter some of my favorite guns from the Modern Warfare franchise, and they kindly agreed.
