Galco has shown a bit of German love towards Heckler & Koch with the Galco Triton 3.0 Kydex Strongside/Crossdraw IWB (Inside-the-Waistband) holster now being offered for the H&K VP9 handgun. While the H&K VP9 is a full-size handgun, more and more people – through the use of mindfully crafted holsters – are carrying full-size pistols for everyday carry (EDC) as opposed to small, dainty handguns.

With new models featuring added capacity, the Heckler & Koch VP9 series pistols continue to grow on the success of the original platform.  As the design continues to grow, HK has made 17-round retrofit kits for those with legacy 15-round magazines.  As a current HK VP9 enthusiast with more than a few legacy 15-round magazines, I wanted to see just how well these kits worked in my VP9 Tactical.

TangoDown is a popular aftermarket supplier of grips, magazines, optics, and AR-15 and pistol accessories. TangoDown is now offering Vickers Tactical floor plates for the SIG P320 (9mm/.40/.357 SIG) as well as the H&K VP9 and VP40. The floor plates come in packs of 5 and are a direct replacement for their respective factory floor plates. What they offer is a wider surface area for you to extract your pistol magazine should it become jammed inside of the magazine well. VT magazine floor plates also feature flared and grooved non-slip scallops on each side so that your fingers can get a good grip on the floor plate for extraction. Each pack of 5 magazine floor plates is $19.25 for either the SIG or H&K versions.

Crimson Trace has expanded their Laserguard range of integrated pistol laser sights to include several Heckler & Koch Models. In addition to Laserguards for a number of other popular pistol brands, Crimson Trace now offer sights for the popular VP series.

Back in December 2017, we reported that Berlin Police selected the Heckler & Koch SFP9 TR as their new service pistol. The new pistol will replace the ageing SIG Sauer P6 (P225) that was adopted back in the 1970s.

Heckler & Koch (aka HK) is now offering VP9 and VP40 pistols with a flat dark earth (FDE) frame. The new colored frames are not simply finished in FDE, rather the plastic is properly tinted during the manufacturing process. This means the color will not flake, chip or peel off during hard use.

Trijicon is now selling sights for the HK VP9 from the company’s Bright & Tough and HD lines. This is similar to the announcement made by the company recently about new sights for the Walther PPX.
