Concealed Carry Corner: Carry Guns of Collateral
Every week, I talk about topics varying from situational awareness, holster choice and gear options for carrying concealed. All those are extremely important but sometimes it’s fun to take a step back and look at what pop culture decides to carry in movies. One of my favorite reality-based movies has to be the 2004 classic Collateral. in this movie, the main character (Jamie Foxx) is a cab driver going along with his day when a hired gun (Tom Cruise) pays him for a night of driving around. This film is directed by Micheal Mann who has done other classic like the TFB favorite Heat, which we’ve done a number of articles and videos on. Let’s take a closer look at some of the carry guns of Collateral, a classic gun guy movie.
The HK USP Compact – After 15 Years Of Use
The HK USP Compact holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first handgun I ever had and for the first five years, I shot the crap out of that gun. I think there’s always a special place in your heart for the first gun you own. The USP Compact was the first handgun I bought and learned how to shoot on. Luckily, I still own it today and still enjoy putting rounds through it at the range.
My First Handgun – My Thoughts Then Vs Now
In 2003, I was a young shooter and really my only other experience with a handgun was with a 2nd generation Glock 17. Prior to owning my first gun, I spent a lot of time on Glocks and a Smith and Wesson 686 I loved. I researched for a couple months and still couldn’t figure out what I’d rather purchase between an H&K USP Compact or a SIG P229. At the time, I was only around 13 and saved up working to have my dad buy one. I wanted a handgun so I could start competing in IDPA and steel competitions.
TFBTV Review: HK45 Tactical
In this episode, TFBTV’s Corey Wardrop takes a look at the HK45 Tactical. A more-managable derivative of the HK USP, the HK45 boasts a 10-round magazine, night sights, standard Picatinny rail, and threaded barrel. We test three types of ammo, discuss some of the available options, and look at some of the small parts after a field strip.
Polish Special Forces Music Video
I saw a video promoting the Polish Special Forces. The Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów, commonly called JWK, was formed in 1961 and is the oldest Polish special operations unit.
