Heritage Manufacturing has jumped into the pistol-caliber lever-action game. The new Heritage 92 lever-actions follow a very familiar design, the classic Model 1892. The line launches with immediate introduction of 12 new models covering a wide range of shooting situations.

Heritage Manufacturing are expanding their line of lever action firearms with the introduction of the Range Side series. These new lever guns are chambered in 410 Bore which should mean they are shotguns but Heritage Manufacturing call them rifles, so maybe these are slug guns? That’s why I decided to use a neutral term – lever gun.

Georgia-based Heritage Manufacturing have announced a new series of .22LR lever-action rifles – the Settler family. The range includes the ‘Settler’ full-length 20-inch barrel rifle (which has a 15-round tube magazine), a ‘Compact’ rifle with a 16.5-inch barrel (and a tube magazine that holds 13 rounds) and the ‘Settler Mares Leg’ which has a 12.5-inch barrel and a 10 round magazine.

In this week’s edition of Wheelgun Wednesday, we are taking a look at something a bit more creative than the traditional revolvers we normally cover because Heritage Manufacturing is expanding out their line of Rancher Carbines (revolving carbine rifles). In recent years, Heritage had taken their eternally popular and affordable Rough Rider revolver and built it up into a revolving rimfire carbine. Much like the Taurus Circuit Judge (now discontinued) that used to be a spitting image of a Taurus Judge, the Heritage Rancher Carbine series is a mirror image of their Rough Rider revolvers. The newest iteration in this unique line of rifles moonlighting as revolvers is the Tactical Rancher Carbine. This brings the Old West into the 21st Century with some forward-thinking accouterments that modern shooters will enjoy.

Heritage Manufacturing has added a new compact rimfire revolver to their line of small bore wheelguns. The new model is dubbed Barkeep. I assume it has a special significance for the company as this little six shooter has a  dedicated website aside from being listed on Heritage Manufacturing’s website.
