Crimson Trace offers Laserguard for Heckler & Koch VP Series
Crimson Trace has expanded their Laserguard range of integrated pistol laser sights to include several Heckler & Koch Models. In addition to Laserguards for a number of other popular pistol brands, Crimson Trace now offer sights for the popular VP series.

Baden-Wrttemberg Police Buy More HK P2000s
Hot on the heels of news that Berlin’s 17,000 strong police force will r eplace its aging SIG P6s (P225) with Heckler & Koch’s SFP9, better known as the VP9 in the US, it has been announced that Baden-Württemberg will also be buying a new batch of sidearms from Heckler & Koch.
USMC Fields Heckler & Koch M27 as M38 Designated Marksman Rifle
The USMC has begun fielding an unspecified number of M38 Designated Marksman Rifles. Converting existing M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle’s to the designated marksman role by adding a Leupold TS-30A2 Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm variable power scope, replacing the standard ACOG. The Leupold has previously been used with the Mk 12 Special Purpose Rifle.
German Police chose Heckler & Koch SFP9TR. Replaces SIG Sauer
The Police in Berlin, Germany, chose the Heckler & Koch SFP9 TR as their new service pistol.
NATO's Forgotten First AK: The Madsen LAR
The Cold War is famous as the squaring off of two superpowers: The United States, and the Soviet Union, and their duel-by-proxy in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. The standard rifles of each side, as well, became proxies: On the Soviet side, the famous AK-47 (more properly AK and AKM), and on the US side the M14, FAL, and later the M16. As early as the late 1950s, however, the AK’s success led to it being copied by NATO member nations, and perhaps the very first of these was the Madsen LAR.
CSASS Program Inches Forward with Sources Sought Notice for Accessories
The US Army’s embattled CSASS program has moved forward slightly with a sources sought notice posted to the Fed Biz Opps website, seeking manufacturers who can make many of the accessories that equip the M110A1 rifle. The notice isn’t itself for a contract, but will help determine which manufacturers are able to provide a second source production capability for CSASS accessories.
