POTD: Heckler & Koch MP7
The Heckler & Koch MP7. The gun that everyone wants (until it’s time to pay for ammo), but no one can get. As one of the comments read: “You have a better chance of running over Bigfoot on a unicorn than bringing that home.” In today’s Photo Of The Day, we have a Bundeswehr soldier holding a Heckler & Koch MP7. The image above is from a joint exercise and demonstration with Dutch forces.
POTD: Heckler & Koch MP7 – The Cameraman's Best Friend
Which is the best carry gun for the people who take the photos for TFB’s Photo Of The Day? The Heckler & Koch MP7 of course! Above we have a Norwegian Army photographer during exercise Trident Juncture 2018 in Norway, armed with his camera and a huge lens, apart from the MP7.
POTD: Heckler & Koch MP7 – Kampfschwimmer im Einsatz
Posts from the German Heckler & Koch Facebook account are always an excellent excuse to enhance the German I learnt in school. I mean “Kampfschwimmer im Einsatz” sounds terrific, doesn’t it? It translates roughly as “combat diver in action”. The clearly visible lamp on top of the helmet is an IR illuminator, which can emit visible and non-visible (to the human eye) light or flash to friendlies around and in the sky.
POTD: Heckler & Koch HK416 with Backup HK MP7
Still life photography is a genre with a large gray area between fine art and documentary photography. Add a firearm to the picture and some will frown and some will cheer. We’re pretty sure you’ve come to our Photo Of The Day to give two thumbs up for this collection. The soldier in the picture carries a Heckler & Koch HK416 and uses the MP7 from the same company as a backup. If we had a vote, I’m pretty sure this combination would win or at least place top 3 with almost any competition thinkable.
POTD: B&T H&K MP7 Suppressors
Recently the Nephi City (Utah) Police Department selected B&T USA to provide them Heckler & Koch MP7 suppressors. That’s the topic for our Photo Of The Day, and you have most likely already identified the Aimpoint Micro red dot with magnifier already.
New Ase Utra Suppressor for Heckler & Koch MP7
Ase Utra Oy from Suomi Finland have been manufacturing sound suppressors for hunting, sports and professional use since 1994. Their usual production exceeds over 10,000 units per year and they state that they are one of the world’s largest manufacturers of sound suppressors. Their suppressors are not available in the United States and some other areas due to import regulations and restrictions, but it may still be of interest to TFB readers to see what is going on overseas in the development of suppressors. Nobody’s got an MP7 anyway…
Norwegian Home Guard Gets More HK416s and MP7s as AG-3 is Phased Out
The Norwegian Army and Home Guard are possibly some of the best-equipped forces with a variety of modern firearms from Heckler & Koch, Barrett, Glock and FN. The Norwegian Home Guard continues phasing out the old AG-3 (Automatgevær 3), which is the Norwegian version of the Heckler & Koch G3. In total, the Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk in Norway made 253,497 units until the production stopped in 1974.
POTD: Heckler & Koch Rifles with A-Tec Suppressors
In our Photo Of The Day, we’re going to take a look at suppressors from A-TEC in Norway. There may be some Heckler & Koch content here as well. The A-TEC company was founded in 1999, in a garage as many other start-ups. The mission was to make better silencers than the ones that existed.
POTD: Heckler & Koch MP7 in the Norwegian Defence
The Heckler & Koch MP7 is such a cool firearm. I guess everyone would like to have one, if only they could. Joining the Norwegian Home Guard is one way of shooting one.
