We all know Hollywood takes some liberties with firearms. Endless ammo, exaggerated performance, etc. The list goes on and on. I recently caught a blatant error in the Marvel movie ANT-MAN.

I agree with ToddG from Pistol Forum that holstering a hammered firearm is indeed safer than holstering a common striker-fired handgun. This is principally because a shooter can “ride the hammer” to ensure it cannot fall during the holstering movement.

After finding and posting up on the Martin Designs‘ Hammer before Christmas, Mr. Martin contacted TFB himself to say thank you and offered a Hammer for our review. Not one to turn down drinking accoutrements, I happily accepted the offer and relished to opportunity to “test” the Hammer in real-world conditions.

It just does not get more American than this. (Make that “Murican” than this…) Martin American Designs has released the Hammer bottle opener. Using a real AR-15 hammer, Martin designs has created a novel bottle opener.

I wouldn’t hesitate at all in saying the Tavor is one of the most anticipated guns to come down the pike in a good while. We have had a pretty good wait before they finally arrived on the market but as I write this distributors are beginning to get them in quantity.
