In Part 1 of this article, I talked about craft-made guns and how the manufacturing industry of Pakistan is changing these days. Now it is time to talk about the gun laws of Pakistan and some of the most interesting imported guns you can find in Pakistani gun shops.

While most people wouldn’t know anything about the firearms of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or the Philippines, Pakistan’s weapon manufacturing is world-famous, but for all the wrong reasons. The term “Khyber Pass” is often used in the US to describe a low-quality AK made from mismatched parts or to make fun of a poorly made handgun or a rifle.

In the last few years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been going through a drastic transformation. Things that seemed impossible just a few years ago are now a part of daily life for Saudi citizens: women can drive, cinemas are open, music is playing everywhere, and the morality police doesn’t enforce their views of virtue. As a result, Saudi Arabia is slowly becoming more attractive for expats and businessmen from all around the world.

In this episode, Miles goes to a local gun shop in Amman to check out what the local laws, trends, and interests are in the legal firearms market in Jordan. He interviews the store owner and is able to really get some hands-on time with the various handguns and shotguns in the store, seeing what Jordanian gun owners like and appreciate.
