Is A Global Gunpowder Shortage Coming In 2024?
Before we get started I’d like to point out as of right now this is purely speculation based off of what we’re seeing currently in the market. A few days ago at the start of December, Vista Outdoors, the principal owner of several popular brands of ammunition, powders, and primers, announced a price increase due to begin at the start of 2024. This increase is in reaction to what Vista Outdoors calls an unprecedented demand for and anticipated global shortage of gunpowder. The full press release has been posted below.

Perhaps you’ve been looking for something to replace your Hoppe’s No. 9 makeshift cologne that your significant other has been complaining about. Outlaw Soaps create a variety of western themed soaps. The “Blazing Saddles” bar is said to smell of soft leather, gunpowder and sandalwood. Outlaw Soaps describes it:
An Artist who "PAINTS" with GUNPOWDER. Originals cost $1,000.
While many equate the burning of gunpowder with the crack of a contained explosion, those familiar with its chemical properties known that burning it unconstrained typically creates on a brief flash and fire. Taking advantage of this is Wyoming artist Danny Shervin, who started experimenting with it at college in Montana.
