Old Alaskan Tree Stump Loaded with Empty Cases

I’m not usually one for gun art but I think this little piece of history mated together with nature is a nifty idea. A Facebook post by Juneau’s Hidden History page featured an Alaskan tree stump loaded up with spent brass casings that completely covered its top surface. The age of both the stump and casings is a mystery as some of the cases have gone out of commercial production since before WWII.

The next time I am back home, I am going to ask if I can flip through my old school notebooks. After following Pew Doodles on Instagram for a few weeks, I had a flood of memories taking me back to daydreaming in school while drawing all types of guns. From M16s to fantasy space blasters, I’m pretty sure I sketched them all.

Winchester '94 Lever Action Candy Dispenser

Artist Constantine Zlatez and Kostadin Ilov, a computer scientist at UC Berkeley, put a decommissioned lever-action rifle to good use, dispensing candy for all to enjoy. They use plastic capsules similar in shape to ammo. Probably .30-30 Winchester.
