#Ghosthood

This is a review of the InfiRay Outdoor Mate MAH50 Thermal Front Attachment. There are many reasons to consider thermal “clip-ons” for your ordinary day optic, and the MATE MAH50 is one of the best on the market in terms of image quality.

Last year I reviewed the Concamo Ghosthood and some of the components in their Confusion Camouflage System. I was quite satisfied with the quality and performance of their products, and their camoflage which consists of 25 superimposed layers which create a “chaotic illusion”. They claim that the subconscious mind is overwhelmed by the camouflage pattern, and begins to discern natural shapes in it.

A spotting scope may not be an absolute must for long range hunters and competitors, but it sure is a nice addition to your setup. To be able to call your or your friend’s shots to give him impact point corrections you also need a reticle, a feature that most normal spotting scopes lack.
