TFB Review: Glock 43X MOS – My First Glock
Glock is a brand that certainly needs little introduction in the year 2023 but here are the cliff notes for those who may not be familiar with the company. Glock is a brand of polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, locked-breech semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Austrian manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H. The firearm entered the Austrian military and police service by 1982 after it was the top performer in reliability and safety tests. Glock pistols have become the company’s most profitable line of products, and have been supplied to national armed forces, security agencies, and police forces in at least 48 countries. The focus of this review will be on the Glock 43X MOS which is a concealed carry-minded pistol that was originally released in everyone’s favorite year of 2020.
Strike Industries Unveils NEW LITESLIDE For G43/G43X/G48
It used to be the obsession to melt carry guns down so far for comfort, they lost all of their workability. In the past few years, I’ve seen the pendulum swing. Prepared citizens are training more and finding that sharper edges can lead to increased performance. This is especially important on small fighting guns like the Glock G43, G43X, and G48. Strike Industries looks to add some edges to carry guns with their LITESLIDE series, which has just expanded to include those slimline Glocks.
Which Subcompact Glock is the Best? Glock 43, 43X, or 48?
In this episode of TFBTV, James goes over the pros and cons of 3 of his favorite pistols: Glock 43, Glock 43X, and Glock 48. More importantly, James, Brannon, and Ryan test these three subcompact Glock pistols against each other at 10 feet, 20 feet, and 30 feet to see which performs the best in “real life” distances.
New GLOCK Slimline Models: MOS For Optics – Rail For Lights, Lasers
GLOCK first announced the new G43X/G48 Slimline Series about a year and a half ago to an enthusiastic crowd. Looking for a everyday carry gun that was more trim than the G26 but had better ergonomics (and has a larger mag capacity) than the pocket-size G43, the new GLOCK Slimline models were hot commodities. Switching from two-tone to black later in 2019, eager American customers watched as European shooters teased an accessory rail on the slimlines for small lights and lasers.
CAA Introduces MCK Kits for Glock 43/43X/48 and Springfield Armory Pistols
CAA Gear Up keep expanding their MCK line of handgun chassis/conversion kits. A couple of weeks ago we reported about their new Polymer80 frame compatible kits and today we’ll take a look at the latest additions to MCK family of products – chassis designed for a variety of Springfield Armory handguns as well as for Glock G43, G43X and G48 pistols.
Hush Puppy Project Model 2 Suppressor and More Pistols With Slide Lock Device
At SHOT Show 2020, I stopped by the Super Vel Ammunition booth and learned about the latest developments in their Hush Puppy Project. The products of this project include silencers with wipes and handguns featuring external slide locking levers that allow having utmost sound suppression by eliminating the noise of the cycling action. For 2020, the company has introduced the Model 2 suppressor which is more compact than the first model and they will also expand the line of pistols with Slide Lock Devices (SLD).
15 Rounds in the Glock 43X and 48?! The Shield Arms S15 Magazine
In this episode of TFBTV, James shoots the remarkable new Shield Arms S15 magazine for the Glock 43X and Glock 48. The S15 mag will hold FIFTEEN rounds in the 43X or 48, flush fit! But does it work? Check today’s video to find out about this mini-torture test.
Shield Arms S15 Flush-Fit 15 Round Magazines For Glock G43X and G48 Pistols
Glock 43X and Glock 48 are the newest and coolest CCW guns offered by the famous Austrian handgun manufacturer. By having single stack magazines and thin grips these pistols are perfect for carrying concealed. However, the tradeoff is the capacity of 10 rounds with flush fit magazines. Well, for those of you who would love to have more ammo within the same dimensions, looks like there is a solution on the market. Shield Arms announced that their S15 G43X/G48 flush-fit magazines that hold 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition are now available for preorder.
Concealed Carry Corner: Carrying Appendix and Concealability Using Pelvic Contact
Appendix holster position carrying is a really sensitive subject for a lot of people. It’s tough to grasp the idea that carrying a firearm pointed at your weiner is safe. The only time that ever becomes unsafe is when the end-user is unsafe. Complacency kills, or in this case, kills your weiner. That is why practice repetition, repetition, repetition is what makes you a better concealed carry person. I have seen people carry at the 4 o’clock position and had a round enter their butt cheek or hip. The round then went through their thigh and missed their weiner getting lodged in their calf. I’ve seen people carry at the four o’clock position and have the bullet shatter their pelvis, and come out the front. So the argument that you’re going to shoot your dick off is pretty much null and void. You could shoot it off every other way as well. Now that we have gotten through all that banter, let’s get onto the most important part; how to carry at the appendix position most effectively depending on firearm and firearm type.
EU Slimline Surprise! GLOCK G43X Rail And G48 Rail
“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in…” one of the most butchered quotes in all of Hollywood history could be applied here tonight. Two weeks ago TFB broke the news that the GLOCK Slimline pistols, previously only available in two-tone silver slides, would be hitting the shelves in all black. Now, GLOCK EU is advertising the same new Slimlines with a slim mounting rail. Apparently dubbed the G43X Rail and G48 Rail respectfully, the new pistols seem identical to the U.S. offerings except for the addition of a mount for a light or laser.
CONCEALED CARRY CORNER: GLOCK G43 vs G43X By The Numbers
Good afternoon shooters and welcome back to TFB’s Concealed Carry Corner where we discuss anything and everything related to the topic of packing a firearm for personal protection. Today we are going to revisit a topic we touched on more than two years ago: a by the numbers look at two of the most popular ultra-compact pistols currently on the market. The GLOCK G43 vs G43X debate has been discussed numerous times since the “Silver Slide” debut of the G43X and the longer G48 about two months ago. But now that the feverish new-product rush is past, how is the latest release stacking up against the original 9mm GLOCK pocket pistol? Let’s take a mathematical look, shall we?
[SHOT 2019] NEW Glock G43X & G48 – Overwhelming Response!
The “Industry Day at the Range” is often the most fun portion of SHOT Show because you have the opportunity to shoot firearms you either could never afford, are not legal where you live, or might not see on store shelves for a long time. With the already surging popularity of the Glock G43X and G48 which were recently announced, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to test and shoot them myself! I was not the only person to have that same train of thought.
New GLOCK 43X (Silver Slimline) and GLOCK 48 Roll Out
In what might have been this holiday season’s worst best kept secret, filled with the drama of artist renderings and feature speculations, TFB is finally ready to debut the real thing. GLOCK is releasing two new Slimline pistols – the GLOCK 43X and a longer slide GLOCK 48 – that are aimed squarely at the everyday carry market. Obviously, both guns are focused on narrow frames and slides, making carrying concealed a bit easier compared to either a compact or full size piece. But what else do these new handguns offer over current subcompact GLOCK models that will convert those shooters who are already comfortable with their current carry choices? Let’s take a look.
