Which Subcompact Glock is the Best? Glock 43, 43X, or 48?
In this episode of TFBTV, James goes over the pros and cons of 3 of his favorite pistols: Glock 43, Glock 43X, and Glock 48. More importantly, James, Brannon, and Ryan test these three subcompact Glock pistols against each other at 10 feet, 20 feet, and 30 feet to see which performs the best in “real life” distances.

CONCEALED CARRY CORNER: GLOCK G43 vs G43X By The Numbers
Good afternoon shooters and welcome back to TFB’s Concealed Carry Corner where we discuss anything and everything related to the topic of packing a firearm for personal protection. Today we are going to revisit a topic we touched on more than two years ago: a by the numbers look at two of the most popular ultra-compact pistols currently on the market. The GLOCK G43 vs G43X debate has been discussed numerous times since the “Silver Slide” debut of the G43X and the longer G48 about two months ago. But now that the feverish new-product rush is past, how is the latest release stacking up against the original 9mm GLOCK pocket pistol? Let’s take a mathematical look, shall we?
TFBTV: German World War Two Guns in Action
What would it be like to try and attempt to shoot historical small arms in some of the ways that they were actually used in the past? We try and do that in this episode with German small arms in a small team setting, assaulting an objective across open terrain using a base of fire complimented by fire and maneuver. We were able to get access to fully automatic machine guns such as the MG42 and MG34, in addition to the MP40 submachine gun and landmark STG44 rifle. Of course we also had on hand Mauser K98s that complimented the historical firepower. There was a G43 that was on hand but the rifle suffered some malfunctions that didn’t allow us to use it in the live fire.
Brazilian G43 Cloning Attempts
World War II, as well known, marked the actual in-combat debut of semi-automatic rifles by the main nations involved, such as the United States (with the .30-06 M1 Garand), the Soviet Union (the 7.62x54Rmm SVT-40), and Germany (the 7.92x57mm G43/K43). The deep influence of the subsequent 7.92x33mm MP43/MP44/StG44 family on the post-war “assault rifle” design concept is equally well recognized. But it was the earlier Gewehr 43 that eventually caught the attention of Brazil as a possible way of locally manufacturing a semi-auto rifle for its armed forces, the Brazilian G43.
Review: Novatac Designs AIWB Holster | A Lesson In Too Good To Be True
When I was first trying out appendix carry, I decided to buy several different styles and brands of holsters to see what worked for me. Not only did I buy one Novatac Designs AWIB for My Walther PPS, but I also bought one for my Glock 43 during their Black Friday Sale.
Review: Glock 43 (G43) 9mm – Mousegun "Perfection"?
Is it too much to ask from a mouse gun to be at least 9mm, reliable, and shootable? Based on various other offerings on the market, it could be argued that the combination of the three was a tall order. Various weapons in .380 were good, but 9mm was a beast that the form factor had a hard time dealing with.
ETS Group Releases Several Magazines for G42, G43 – Up to 12 Rounds
ETS Group announced the company was now making replacement magazines for the Glock 42 (.380 ACP) and Glock 43 (9mm) magazines. There are three different magazines being offered for each weapon: a 7 round flush fit, a 9 round extended (4.25″ long) and a 12 round extended (5.5″ long).
Roland Specials go Sub-Compact with New TBRCi Micro Brake
Yes, the Glock 19 has been a smashing success for the concealed carry market, but its still far from what the “Perfection” that Glock tends to advertise. While its combination of form factor, barrel length, capacity, and size is basically the largest that one can easily concealed carry, the weapon is still ripe for additional perfection. Since its release, shooters have opted to add and refine the handgun.
By The Numbers: Glock 26 vs Glock 43
We are coming up on the two-year anniversary of the Glock 43 debut and I have yet to buy one. Why? Because I may be the only Glock fan that just doesn’t see the point – I’ll stick with my G26/G17 #thankyouverymuch. Unless I’m missing some intangible characteristic, the numbers just aren’t adding up.
G41(W) Rifle Shooting: WWII German Semi-Auto
The Walther Gewehr 41 is a mechanically interesting rifle that was adopted by the German military during WWII. Over 100,000 were made, and it uses an interesting operating method known as the “bang” system that traps gas after the muzzle and uses it to self load. This system is known for being unreliable and sensitive to fouling (especially with corrosive ammo) but how does it shoot?
Top 5 Overrated Guns
Some guns just get way too much attention. In this list, we highlight 5 firearms that get unfairly placed on a pedestal for a multitude of reasons that we lay out for you to consider. You may disagree, and that’s just fine. Also the list is about overrated guns, not necessarily bad ones.
TFB's Rifle (And Subgun) Weight Omnibus – How Heavy is Your Rifle? (Part 1 of 3)
In October, I traveled out to see my co-writer Alex C. to collect data on the weights of different long guns and some of their components. Over that weekend, I weighed 58 rifles and submachine guns, and numerous magazines, bolts, bolt carriers, and other miscellaneous items. The purpose of this was not only to collate a general list of the weights of different weapons, but to be able to enhance the accuracy of a previous spreadsheet I’d produced showing the loaded “combat” weights of different rifles; that being available at this link.
