Photo Of The Day and today the Heckler & Koch G36, the standard-issue rifle for the Spanish Army, is on offer. The hungriest beast of them all on TFB is our Photo Of The Day. It consumes hundreds of images every month, and it has been starving for over 9 years. Sometimes these images find themselves, and sometimes we have to dig them out, but we hope they give you a diverse experience from the world of firearms. Our POTD will take you places far away, and today we’re visiting Camp Ādaži in Latvia. The world is hungry for visual storytelling, and TFB’s Photo Of The Day does its best to keep the feed live. Today we have the Spanish Heckler & Koch G36E with bayonets, the standard-issue rifle for the Spanish Army.

One of the purposes of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to broaden the audience for the excellent work done by professionals from combat photography to still and action photography of firearms. With the current situation, things must be rather tense in the Latvian Army, and today we get a look at the second basic military training course for reservists. They’re using the Heckler & Koch G36, without any optics. Typically Latvia uses the G36V which lacks the integrated reflector sight.

Here we can see the Battalion Zapadores of the Brigade ‘Guadarrama’ XII as they carry out an exercise to cross water obstacles in various ways . They are using the Heckler & Koch G36E. E is short for Export. The rifle has a telescopic sight with a 1.5x magnification. The reticle fixed at 300 meters.
