At SHOT Show 2024, Ruger has reintroduced a classic design with the addition of a folding stock Mini 14 rifle to their lineup. This new offering caters to enthusiasts of traditional aesthetics, equipped with the A-TM stock crafted by Samson Manufacturing. Not only does this model draw on the heritage of the Mini 14, but it also incorporates modern functionality.

Kalashnikov USA have added two new aluminum AK stocks to their KUSA Premium K-Series line of AK parts and accessories. One of the new stocks is telescoping and is compatible with fixed-stock rear trunnions. The second one has no length of pull adjustment mechanism and is designed for side folding rear trunnions. Sylvan Arms has announced the release of the third generation of their AR-15 hinged folding stock adapters. As stated by the company, the main differences of Gen3 adapter from the previous generation are the lowered hinge and stronger, more durable design. Let’s take a closer look.

In June of 2017, TFB reported that an innovation in the AR world was in development. Evolution Weapon Systems had begun working on a prototype bufferless bolt carrier group system for the AR-15 platform, and Instagrammer “thegatman” had posted a few teaser videos. These clips featured an AR capable of firing with its Law Tactical folding stock adapter locked in the folded position. The internal mechanics of how Evolution Weapon Systems had achieved this feat, however, were not revealed at that time. Fortunately, now that the bufferless BCGs are available for pre-order from the Evolution Weapon Systems website, we can now see what’s going on inside.

Dead Foot Arms recently posted on their Facebook page about a new company called FoldAR that’s releasing a new folding AR-15 rifle. FoldAR uses the Dead Foot Arms Modified Cycle System (MCS) folding stock kit along with a proprietary barrel folding mechanism that allows the user to fold their AR-15 at both ends, making for a very compact setup.

Let me tell you right away that this product is not designed for AR-15 rifles and it is not anything like a Law Tactical folder. This is a folding stock adapter designed for the firearms that use AR-15 buffer tubes but don’t have a buffer and recoil spring mechanism inside it. This new accessory which is just released by Matador Arms is called Sidewinder.

Circle 10 AK has just released two new AK products –  AK Push Button 2-Bolt Folding Hinge and  AK 2-Bolt Triangle Stock. Both of these accessories use 10-32 2-bolt mounting system. Let’s take a quick look at each of these parts separately.

PPSh-41 submachine gun was the main SMG of the Soviet Union during the WW2. It was cheap to make and was deployed in large numbers. It was also chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, which means it shared the same ammunition as the handgun and the same caliber/bore as pretty much all the WW2 small arms of Soviet Union. The relatively controllable high rate of fire (about 1000 rpm) coupled with the 71-round drum magazine and high-velocity cartridge proved to be pretty successful on the battlefields of the war. If you are looking to buy a rifle that isn’t an AR, there are few alternatives. The SIG Sauer MCX is one of the most attractive options in the non-AR market currently. The premise of the Skeli X11 is to bring an economically priced modular “Next Generation” rifle to the consumer market. Not everyone might be able to afford or sustain a SCAR-H or SCAR-L, but with the X11, a modular, folding stock, ambidextrous (controls and ejecting), quick-change barrel, the majority of the consumer market will be able to own a rifle that has many of the features that something like a SCAR is so well known for, but without the enormous price tag. All for a MSRP of $1449.

Having a folder on your AR-15 is nice, but the large downside to that is you can’t shoot it folded. The guys at Deadfoot Arms saw this as a large problem and came up with a solution that allows you to shoot an AR-15 with the stock folded. No other drop in solution exists for this problem, now your weapon is aways ready.
