Apex Tactical Specialties is a renowned pistol accessory company that produces high-quality aftermarket pistol upgrades. Their latest product is an Apex Tactical threaded barrel for the FN 509 Compact MRD model pistols. The barrel will come standard with a 1/2×28 thread pitch as well as a 1:10 twist rate.

FN unveiled two new additions to its civilian lineup at this year’s SHOT Show.  In an effort to add even more range to the SCAR20s, FN released a new variant chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.  The FN 509 series also received a new addition with the FN 509 Compact.

Since the introduction of the 509, FN America have steadily expanded the line with midsize and optics ready options. The 509 line has no expanded to include a Compact MRD Optics-Ready variant, the pistol has a 3.7-inch barrel and a compact slide.
