At The Ready – A Behind the Scenes Look at the Firearms Industry

A new series on YouTube is out by the people over at Angstadt Arms called “At The Ready.” The new series gives viewers a close look into the daily routines of some of the most successful names in the firearms industry as well as an exploration of what drives them to succeed. The first episode premiered on June 15th and featured Ian Strimbeck of Runenation with other firearms industry personalities to follow in the months to come. GUNSMARTS Series 2 Launched by Smith & Wesson

There are more new gun owners than ever running around these days and while many of them are being trained by their friends and family, there are probably still many people out there who are in serious need of basic firearms instruction as well as navigating their own path through firearms ownership. The New SharpShot EZ-Trainer Marksmanship Training System

OutWest Systems recently debuted their SharpShot EZ-Trainer Marksmanship Training System. It’s a laser based training system that includes a target holding box that works with a standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper target and a smartphone/tablet app. To use the SharpShot EZ-Trainer you’ll need to also use one of the various laser training devices on the market such as the SIRT, Laser Shot, LaserLyte or Laser-Ammo units. To use the trainer just fire up the app and start shooting, your hits will be shown on a virtual target on your phone or tablet and you’ll also get verbal reports on your hit locations.

Firearms Food for Thought: Positioning Shooting Prone

In order to be a successful long-range shooter you must take a number of factors into consideration. From windage to optics to understanding the capabilities and limitations of your caliber of choice and everything in between, you’d better have it all covered.
