Today’s Photo Of The Day depicts a firearm with a very unusual combination of operating and feeding mechanisms. The pictures of this belt-fed lever action rifle were shared by FightLite Industries on their  social media pages. The gun is apparently made by combining their  Herring Model 2024 Modern Lever Action rifle’s lower receiver with an MCR Dual-Feed upper receiver.

FightLite Industries is well-known in the industry for some truly remarkable firearms innovations like the MCR belt-fed upper receiver, SCR 5.56 pistol, and of course their extensive lineup of aftermarket parts and accessories. FightLite is now excited to announce the launch of its brand-new multi-caliber lever action rifle, the Herring Model 2024. Unlike other lever action rifles, the Herring Model 2024 features a purpose-built modernized design complete with AR-15 magazine compatibility, and a whole host of both rifle and pistol calibers to choose from depending on what you’d like to use the rifle for.

At the 2018 SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range, Florida gunmaker FightLite Industries, best known for their SCR “ban state” lower receiver that allows “compliant” rifles to be made using AR-15 components. FightLite also is the manufacturer of the MCR upper receiver, a conversion kit that transforms an AR-15 into a belt-fed light machine gun.

For one reason or another, the pistol caliber carbine (PCC) and subgun product development market has seen a resurgence in the last few years. Just when everyone thought that 5.56mm short barreled rifles did everything a 9mm carbine could do – and better – consumers have built and bought massive amount of PCC’s. FIGHTLITE, a company known for beltfed capable upper receiver groups for the AR platform, has just announced the MXR – a submachine gun or PCC pistol capable of tool-less caliber changes.
