At SHOT Show 2024, Falkor Defense unveiled its first .50-caliber bolt-action rifle. Known for building bolt-action rifles based on Remington 700-style actions, the company has now ventured into the big-bore category amid growing demand from the shooting community.

Falkor Defense has been deliberately taking their time in rolling out a Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) so everything is just right, and now they are ready to unveil the FG-9 as their 1st PCC to the market! Everything about it is meticulously crafted or curated from trusted manufacturers so it is one solid looking PCC. The spec sheet is quite the laundry list of components:

When it comes to the highly modular platform that is the modern day AR-15 it is pretty easy to get tooo tactical or tacti-cool. I know, I said it, but it is true. Falkor Defense hinted that they would release several NRA-specific specials at the upcoming show next week. With hints at the new Siren 9mm pistol, expectations are high for AR manufacturer to bring something innovative to their booth next week.

If you noticed the green barrels in the FLIR video: we did too! We took Edward O and the camera crew over to the Falkor booth to learn about their new Dracos straight jacket barrel sleeve system. This barrel uses a composite sleeve as a heat sink to maintain accuracy even after thousands of high temperature rounds. 300 Win Mag and 300 Norma are usually considered barrel-burners, but Falkor guarantees the Dracos system for life.

Falkor Defense, the designers and makers of the Optimus Folding Carbine Stock ( which should be shipping this week) have taken their Petra weapon platform, which was made in .300 Win Mag and now chambered it in .300 Norma.
