Slow Mo Guys Elephant Gun .577 Tyrannosaur In Slow Motion
A new video collaboration by Slow Mo Guys and Kentucky Ballistics was just released. Scott of Kentucky Ballistics had them shoot a variety of elephant guns but it was the .577 Tyrannosaur that was the focus of the video.

Taking a page out of Hannibal’s war manual, it looks like some unit tried their hand at war-elephants and a slightly different approach to “Elephant Gun”. I am not sure what the thought was to mounting a belt-fed machine gun to the top of this Elephant. Perhaps as an alternate all-terrain vehicle that has offensive capabilities. The machine gun looks to be a “potato digger” M1895 Colt-Browning.
Mauser M98 Magnum First Look
At Industry Day, we at The Firearm Blog got our first look at the Mauser 98 Magnum, a dangerous game rifle that will soon be imported into the United States. Mauser was happy to have us shoot the weapon, which features case hardened and temper colored accents.
