Otis Technology's New EarShield Ranger Earmuff Lineup
When it comes to personal protection items, having a lot of versatility and options to choose from is always great. While the first thing that may come to mind when you hear the name Otis Technology is firearms cleaning products, Otis has now joined the ear protection industry with three brand new pairs of hearing protection in their new EarShield Ranger lineup. These new hearing protection units look to be decently constructed with a good set of features for some of the more advanced models and are sold at what appears to be competitive pricing.
New Enhanced Safariland Liberator HP 2.0 Hearing Protection
Touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste – these are our five basic senses. Without them life gets more difficult, and that includes hearing. As we all know, most firearms create a bang that will damage our hearing unless we protect our ears. There are several solutions to do this, and I think I’m right in my assumption that headsets are the most popular way. I use active headsets, with active noise cancelation, so I can hear when people are talking and still get the protection when there is harmful noise from gunshots. Safariland now has a new Liberator HP headset and you can read about the features below.
TFB Review: Sordin Supreme Basic Hearing Protection After NINE (9) Years
Everybody remembers their first car, first house, first gun, and many other “first” things. I also happen to remember my first set of electronic hearing protection – Sordin Supreme Basic that I bought nine years ago, in May of 2011, and there are two reasons for that.
New ComTac VI NIB Tactical headset from 3M PELTOR
Hearing protection can be so much more than protecting the hearing. Some use a simple foam for their ear canals and it fits their needs, but some users have increased needs.
To Bluetooth, or Not to Bluetooth?… NEW Peltor Sport Tactical 300 & 500 Electronic Hearing Protection
Peltor Sport, a 3M brand, has some new electronic hearing protection out on the market meant to be higher quality and more conscientious of the shooter’s needs. Their Tactical 300 and Tactical 500 Electronic Hearing Protectors punch in at a higher price point than most electronic earmuffs, $149.99 and $199.99 MSRP respectively, but there are a lot of strong attributes behind those retail prices.
TFB REVIEW: OPSMEN M31 EARMOR Electronic Hearing Protection
As much as I love my silencers, I still end up wearing some sort of hearing protection when shooting. Without rehashing a topic we’ve discussed multiple times in the past, hearing-safe doesn’t always mean no hearing protection required. As a general rule, using subsonic ammo in many hosts can mean dropping the muffs or plugs. Supersonic ammo, on the other hand almost always requires additional protection – much like a trip to Bangkok in the 80’s. Today, we will take a look at the M31 EARMOR electronic hearing protection from OPSMEN.
Review: MSA Sordin Digital Supreme Pro X
For the last 4 or 5 years, I have been a huge proponent of the Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Earmuffs; that was until I broke more than six pairs in the span of a couple of years. This last set gave up the ghost a couple of months ago, and it was the last straw. Since my birthday was rolling around, my wife asked what I would like as a gift. Since the day prior my Howard Leights had stopped working and was properly retired with several 9mm bullets, I told her that some nice electronic muffs would be perfect.
