Standard Manufacturing DP-12 GEN II Shotgun
Standard Manufacturing introduced the second generation of their DP-12 double-barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun. The differences between the DP-12 Gen II and the first-generation DP-12 shotguns are in the new contour of the barrels and the new patented polymer/aluminum frame. Let’s take a look at the specs and features of the Standard Manufacturing DP-12 Gen II shotgun.
Czech Detonics GLADIATOR Double-Barreled Muzzleloading and 410 Bore Shotguns
About a year ago, we published an article telling about muzzleloading double-barreled break-action derringers made by a Czech company called Czechgun. Apparently, the company has been since renamed to Detonics and recently, they announced that they’ve expanded this line of firearms to now include .50 cal muzzleloading and 410 bore shotguns.
Standard Manufacturing S333 VOLLEYFIRE Double Barrel Revolver
Standard Manufacturing has released a rather weird revolver called S333 Volleyfire. This gun has two barrels with side by side orientation and can simultaneously fire two .22 WMR cartridges with each trigger pull which means it can empty its eight-round cylinder in a matter of four trigger pulls. This revolver is most likely the evolution of the Volleyfire pepperbox that was introduced during the SHOT Show 2017.
Soviet AO-63 Experimental Double-Barreled Assault Rifle
I was planning to write about this firearm in the near future but it always was the last one in the list of such firearms (rare, experimental Soviet/Russian guns) to write an in-depth article about. And the reason is the extremely scarce information available about this firearm. This gun is literally something mysterious. However, recently Russian “ Kalashnikov Museum and Exhibition Complex of Small Arms” has released a short video on a Russian social media website, which shows this extremely interesting firearm and some of its parts. To my knowledge, this the first time internal parts of this firearm are being shown. Actually, it may be the first time this rifle appears on the internet at all.
Cobray Pocket Pal: Double Caliber and Double Barreled Revolver
The Cobray Pocket Pal is an interesting little self defense gun. It is a break open revolver with interchangeable cylinders. It is chambered in .380 and .22LR. The top barrel is chambered in .380 acp while the bottom barrel is chambered for .22LR. The .22LR cylinder holds five rounds while the .380 cylinder only holds three rounds.
Working Miniature Guns
Check out this tiny double barreled shotgun. The person manipulating it installs the barrel and the forend onto the shotgun. Loads it and closes the barrels. Then cocks the two hammers and uses a pencil to fire the first round.
Double Barrel 1911 Ballistics Test
Jerry Miculek tests out different ammo in the Arsenal Double Barrel Pistol. He loads one magazine with Hornady 220gr +P flex tip hollow point and the other magazine with regular 230 gr ball ammo. The most surprising aspect was the ball round flying through the large cavitation made by the hollow point. Because the hollow point was moving faster through the air, it hit the ballistics gelatin first. The hollow point opened up as designed and started to slow down and create a large wound channel. While the gelatin was expanding from the hollow point, the 230gr ball round caught up to with the hollow point and was traveling in the cavity made by the hollow point.
Holland and Holland Manufacturing Video
Holland and Holland posted this up last month. A beautiful video showing some of the manufacturing and hand made craftsmanship that goes into their guns.
Kirsten Joy Weiss Shoots The Double Barrel 1911
Kirsten Joy Weiss is a competitive Olympic style rifle shooter. She managed to get her hands on the Arsenal double barrel 1911 and fire a couple of rounds. She says comments that the double barrel 1911 is akin to shooting a S&W 500.
Double Barrel 1911 and Ballistics Gel
GY6vids answers his followers and produced a video showing what self defense 45acp rounds look like when shot from the Arsenal 1911.
Llama Pressin Double Barreled AOW
I found these images in a Facebook group but the person who posted them did not know their origins and was trying to find more information.
Russian Tank/Jet Hybrid Double Barreled Water Cannon
The Hungarians have re-purposed some surplus Russian Military hardware to make “Big Wind”. It is a T34 tank with its turret removed and replaced with twin MiG jet engines mounted to the treads. It spews water to put out massive fires. It is a giant double barreled super soaker on wheels. Actually it has 6 nozzles over the MiG engines. As it sprays water the engine jet blast sprays the water forward. The water is moving at a maximum rate of 220 gallons of water a second, or twice what an average U.S. household uses in 24 hours. If you hooked up this machine’s water pump to a typical suburban swimming pool, it would suck it dry in about 50 seconds.
DP-12 Double Barreled Pump Shotgun
We posted an image of this earlier this year. Apparently it is exclusive to Cheaper Than Dirt. According to Michael Bane’s article, the DP-12 MSRP is estimated to be $1k. They make some obvious remarks about the KSG and the UTS15. I hope to see this shotgun at SHOT SHOW 2015 in a couple months. The DP-12 was designed to merge the best of a double barreled shotgun and a pump shotgun. So you have the capacity and loading of a pump. The most intriguing aspect is how the second barrel is fired. There is a single trigger. You press it to fire the right barrel and then you press it again to fire the left barrel.
Double Barrel Pump Shotgun
So this picture was on social media. Shooting Illustrated posted this on their Facebook page and it looks like it was spotted at the NRA show. From the picture it looks like a modified Kel-Tec Shotgun. I am not really seeing the benefit to a double barreled pump shotgun. Sure having two magazine tubes in my KSG is wonderful and gives me options and higher capactiy of ammo. However I fail to see the benefit to a double barreled pump shotgun. I suppose you could have one smooth and the other rifled. Or you could have different chokes, if you have choke adapters. But I rather see tube extensions for the KSG. Or better yet, twin x-rails on the front of the KSG. I estimate it would be a 40 rd shotgun haha.
