POTD: CZ Scorpion EVO III with Modifications
Photo Of The Day – The photo above may give the Social Media Girl over at another firearms brand a heart attack, but let’s hope not. We’re looking at a CZ Scorpion EVO III with a Yeti Wurks trigger, Switchback grip and Avalanche magazine release. The optics is a Vortex UH1 Gen 2 and the brace is from SB Tactical. There are many more details about the new Vortex revealed in this edition of TFB’s Friday Night Lights.
Czech Army Buys More CZ BREN 2s, CZ P-10s and CZ Scorpion PDWs
In 2015 CZUB announced that they were introducing an improved rifle called CZ BREN 2. About a year later, the Czech Ministry of Defence signed a contract for 2,600 CZ BREN 2 rifles together with 800 CZ 805 G1 Grenade Launchers. Apparently, the Czech Army is happy with the BREN 2, as they just signed an agreement with the supplier Česká Zbrojovka (CZUB) for about 40,000 firearms. The contract is worth in the region of CZK2.35 billion (about USD111 million).
CZ Scorpion Evo 3 Machine Gun | FULL AUTO!!!
The CZ Scorpion Evo 3 made a heck of a splash when it was introduced in 2010 and an even bigger splash when it hit the US market in 2015. In this episode of TFB TV, Patrick gets a chance to put some ammo through a factory machine gun and really get acquainted with the sub gun. Since this is a dealer sample, it gets all of the cool things like a 4 position selector switch, a folding stock, and we even have a tri-lug adaptor on the end of the machine gun so a Dead Air Wolf 9SD suppressor can be fitted for the ultimate in sub gun goodness.
Burst Review: CZ Scorpion Carbine
James Grant of Burst Review gets his hands on a CZ Scorpion Carbine. As a fan of the Scorpion Evo3 platform, his review shares the same thoughts I have about the rifle version of the Scorpion.
CZ Scorpion Barrel Cooler
Among the many upgrades for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3, some owners have acquired this barrel cooler. It is available on CZ’s online shop for $25. Click here to check it out. Now there are some hypothesis that this barrel cooler is designed for the select fire Scorpions. I am not sure how well this will work for Semi Auto Scorpions. Unless you intend on doing multiple mag dumps, I do not think this will do much. The other concern is the material that this barrel cooler is made of. It looks to be made of some cast metal.
Slovakian 9mm Frankencarbines
Thanks to my friend Jan Lučanský of Laugo Arms for telling me about this company. Originally he was remarking on the Hungarian Steiner Bark that I posted earlier. The Bark9 is actually a Slovakian firearm. It uses a Scorpion EVO3 fire control group and mag well.
Manticore Arms New CZ and AK upgrades
Sven of Manticore Arms has some exciting new upgrades for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3, CZ Bren, and AKs.
