La Revolucion Series From SK Customs – Pancho Villa

SK Customs announced a Mexican Revolution-themed series of 1911 pistols called La Revolución with the first gun in the series being the Pancho Villa limited-edition pistol. The Colt CZ group is releasing what could be described as the best of two worlds. Tribute to Legends is what they chose to call their set of limited edition, hand-engraved Colt 1911 and CZ 75. This is a commemoration of last year’s merger between Colt and Česká Zbrojovka (CZ). There will only be a total of 50 sets made, and they will be auctioned off at the end of November, in Prague’s Kodl Gallery.

CMP Set to Receive up to 10,000 Surplus 1911s

Back in July we reported that the Civilian Marksmanship Programme was in line to receive 10,000 newly surplused M1911A1 pistols in 2018. With the United States Senate passing the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on the 18th November the bill will now be sent to the President’s desk to be signed into law.

The Deadpool Pistol

Deadpool could easily be referred to as the antithesis of all things superhero, and yet the movie’s namesake did have a bit of hero in him (sort of). The movie was released immediately prior to Valentine’s Day 2016 and grossed $363.1 million here in the United States, pulling in another $419.3 million in foreign countries. Those numbers gave it a financial boost higher than all X-Men movies and although there is more, you’re not here for a movie recap. In the wake of Deadpool’s popularity, gun company Whiskey Tango Foxtrot recently unveiled their ode to the smart-assed vigilante: a Deadpool-themed pistol.

"Hell In My Hands": Battle of Bastogne Pistol

We are all at least passingly familiar with the Battle of the Bulge. A smaller part of that battle was the Siege of Bastogne which took place December 20th to December 27th, 1944. The ultimate goal of Nazi Germany in this particular battle was to reach a harbor in Antwerp, and the Germans hoped to fight through the Allied ranks before they could be reinforced. This was not a small battle by any means but included more than 54,000 Germans laying siege to the small village of Bastogne where approximately 22,800 Allied soldiers were attempting to stand their ground. (It is well worth noting that Bastogne was and is a small village; today their population lingers around 15,000 residents.)
