HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Comically Inspired or Just Comical?

Welcome everyone to the 132nd edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

Wheelgun Wednesday: NEW Chiappa Charging Rhino Gen II 60DS 9mm

In this week’s Wheelgun Wednesday we will walk you down memory lane with a short synopsis of TFB’s coverage of the Chiappa Rhino over the past 11 years it has been in existence, and also cover Chiappa’s NEW Charging Rhino Gen II 60DS revolver chambered in 9mm. Chiappa Rhino Kaboom

The Chiappa Rhino may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it sure is unique. It’s odd look comes from the fact that it fires from the bottom chamber to help reduce felt recoil. Earlier this year fellow TFB writer James Reeves reviewed the Chiappa Rhino 200D chambered in .357 magnum and .38 special with a 2 inch barrel. In the review it seemed to do pretty well, that said no gun is without it’s occasional problems. A catastrophic failure, or a kaboom, is quite the problem as you can see in the picture above.

Gun Review: Chiappa Rhino 60DS AKA White Rhino

After James R posted up his Chiappa Rhino 200DS review, I felt the need to share my thoughts about the bigger version. The White Rhino. The White Rhino is Chiappa’s 60DS. It is the same gun just with a 6 inch long barrel. The White Rhino is the stainless hard chrome version of the Rhino 60DS. They do make the 60DS in black just like the one James’ reviewed.
