Okay. It looks a little odd. But I am actually super impressed by Tandemkross’s new chassis for the Ruger PCC, the Upriser. It adapts the Ruger PCC to take a standard AR-15 buffer tube and stock, along with an AR-15 grip. It also comes with a bunch of quality of life improvements to Ruger’s already excellent PCC.

While doing a research for another TFB article, I came across this chassis called Shadow designed by a Russian company called AKademia. It is an aluminum chassis that converts the Molot Vepr-308 Super rifles from their classic hunting configuration into basically a DMR type rifle. In other words, the AKademia Shadow chassis converts this:

Back in August of the current year, we took a sneak peek at the pre-production prototype of Sharps Bros chassis called Heatseeker. A couple of days ago, three months after the release of the first pictures, the company announced that the Heatseeker is available for purchase. Let’s take a look at the final features and specs of this chassis.

I am not sure how but the Definitive Arms DASA flew under our radar. I only recently discovered this thanks to my friend Vic at Spartan Rifles. I know of Definitive Arms as makers of some phenomenal AKs. Due to having an FFL SOT they get to play with machine guns. But if you told me they were making chassis for bolt guns? I wouldn’t believe you. Well, I am wrong.

For the long range precision rifle shooter there seems to be two main ways of building the perfect rifle.

Back in June Enoch Industries announced their 10/22 Odin Chassis. I was excited and a little annoyed at the same time because I had just bought a PMACA chassis for my Ruger Charger. Well, an opportunity arrived and we got the Odin Chassis in for a review.

Are you looking for a Remington 700 chassis that is ultralight and includes all the features requested by top precision rifle shooters? Say no more. Q, of ‘The Fix’ fame, have just announced the release of the Side Chick, a sub 3 pound chassis for the 700 receiver footprint. Included are a fully adjustable folding stock, removable top rail, free-float MLOK handguard and the ability to swap AR15 style grips.

It seems everyone is now jumping on the Ruger PC Carbine stock wagon. First it was CROM USA and now Miltary Arms Channel. Just recently Tim Harmsen of Military Arms Channel posted on Instagram of his new Copper Custom Ruger PCC chassis. It changes the Ruger PCC into a more modern rifle setup.

Choate Machine and Tool has announced the release of a new modular chassis called C Mod. The new chassis is compatible with Remington 700 short action footprint receivers. Its modularity is expressed in the ability to change the stocks and forearms without a need for removing the barrelled action from the actual chassis. According to the company, “This modularity provides the ultimate in adaptability and versatility while not disturbing the critical action-to-stock fit so reconfirming zero is unnecessary after configuring the system as needed.”

It was back on January 11th that we announced the debut of the NEW Oryx Bolt-Action Chassis Rifle Stocks by MDT ( Modular Driven Technologies). That stirred up a lot of excitement in the industry because MDT is known for highly modular and equally great quality stocks. Now with the inception of the Oryx stock shooters had something more affordable to throw their money at as well.

There were several new news items to keep track of while at the CZ-USA booth this year during SHOT 2019. First off the bat were some modifications to the new Bren pistol. The Bren 2MS now has a modular forend where owners can swap out forends to change the length of the handguards. This includes the ability to go over a mounted suppressor. Other than that the Bren has really been modified from its service rifle form in the Bren 805 to a more viable platform for the United States, such as a non-reciprocating charging handle.

If you do a little research, you’ll find out that the products of this company are quite popular among European long range and competition shooters and have a reputation for being high quality and precision made ones in general. Magpul has published a press release announcing about the start of sales of their new Pro 700 bolt action rifle chassis. The Pro 700 chassis is designed for short action Remington 700 barreled actions both made by Remington and other manufacturers whose products have Remington 700 footprint.

During the Huntex 2018 exhibition, a South African company called Gun Warrior introduced the latest, Gen5 iteration of their Warrior aluminum bolt action rifle chassis. Although this chassis will be quite a capable platform for multiple applications (tactical, hunting etc.), it is primarily designed for the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) competition shooting.

A couple of months ago we talked about a Ukrainian company called Automatic that makes functional replicas of historical firearms. The majority of this company’s products are those replicas. One could expect from a company that much specialized in historical firearms not to have a presence in the modern arms and accessories market because these are just way too different niches. However, that is not the case with the Automatic. Along with the MP-38, PPD-34/38 and Mauser C 96 carbine replicas they also make a modern aluminum bolt action rifle chassis!
