For fans of the Grey Birch Solutions Foundation chassis who don’t own a 10/22, a new option is available in the form of the Foundation 457. The not-so-secret Foundation 457 has been in the works for a little while and has finally been released but only in limited quantities for the time being (15-20 in stock at the time of writing). The Foundation 457 is intended to work with the CZ 457 series of rimfire rifles and comes with a lot of features that can extend the usefulness of your rifle.

Strike Industries has partnered with a few different companies to bring owners of a SIG Sauer P320 Fire Control Unit a new modular chassis system. Strike worked with MetaForce and airsoft superpower Evike.com to design and develop the Rampage Alpha, a chassis system to be released in 2022.

WOOX has added another product to their line of rifle chassis/stocks. The new Cobra Precision Stock joins the Furiosa, Exactus and Wild Man becoming the fourth rifle stock offered by the company. The difference from other members of the family is in the design of the buttstock and forearm that are attached to the main aluminum chassis. Let’s take a closer look.

The catalog of Italian/American company WOOX currently contains three rifle chassis – Furiosa, Exactus and Wild Man. Up until now, the WOOX chassis were available for bolt action rifles only (Remington 700, Tikka T3, Sauer 100, Savage 110, Howa 1500). Well, the company has just expanded this product line by introducing versions of all three chassis compatible with the Ruger 10/22 rimfire semi-auto rifle.

XLR Industries has added a new product to their line of bolt action rifle chassis. The new chassis is called ATOM. It is a Remington 700 footprint chassis and while it can be used with rifle-length barreled actions, its short forearm and starting weight of 27oz should make it especially attractive for bolt action pistol or SBR builds. Karl VanKeuren, the founder of Crazy Ivan LLC, named his company after a dangerous maneuver from a Tom Clancy novel which is what he thought starting a company in his 50s is. He designs and manufactures a variety of firearm parts and accessories. One of the latest products designed by Karl is a Ruger 10/22 Takedown chassis.

Sharps Bros Heatseeker bolt action rifle chassis was first introduced in November of 2019 and was initially available only for Howa mini action barreled actions. Back then, the company stated that they were planning to expand the line adding more footprints. Well, the second member of the Heatseeker chassis family has been recently released and it is designed for the Ruger American Rifle. Let’s take a closer look.

American Built Arms Company (A*B Arms) has added more compatibility to their MOD*X GEN III Modular Rifle System. The MOD*X GEN III is now available for the Bergara B-14 which is Bergara’s performance rifle series featuring their world-renowned Bergara Barrel and 2 lug action. Southern Cross Small Arms is an Australian company based in New South Wales. They specialize in manufacturing quality rifle chassis at an affordable price. We had a chance to review one such chassis offering from Southern Cross Small Arms, the  TSP X (Tactical Shooting Platform).

CROM USA’s billet chassis for the Ruger PCC has evolved. Their chassis are made of billet aluminum and allow the shooter to use the Magpul SGA shotgun stock. While they have a free-floated handguard they later came out with a modified Zhukov handguard. Well, now they have developed a new chassis that allows you to use AR pistol grips and a Picatinny rear rail to add braces or stocks.

Precision rifle shooters, this one is for you. British Columbia-based Modular Driven Technologies, or MDT for short, has grown into a popular brand since its founding in 2009. Their long-gun chassis systems and other sniper rifle components are loved by many users of Remington actions, Savage, Howa, and more. One of their hit products, covered by TFB at SHOT Show 2020, is the XRS Chassis System, with a $499.95 MSRP. Now with a June 30th press release, MDT has announced new inlet options for the XRS. JTAC Industries is a firearms and accessories manufacturer from Plant City, Florida. One of their main products is a chassis called Elf Owl that is designed for Howa Mini Action barreled actions. This is a minimalistic, compact and lightweight chassis with quite a high level of modularity. Let’s take a closer look.

When it comes to precision rifle stocks and chassis, most manufacturers have moved to aluminum or composite materials. WOOX has gone in a different direction. They blend the old with the new. Their chassis are a mix of aircraft grade aluminum with the feel of a wood stock. The WOOX Wildman is their entry-level stock while the Exactus has elements of a precision stock. They sent them both in for us to check them out.

MDT has been coming on very strong in the precision rifle world in the past few years.  With the release of their ACC chassis last year, they became contenders for a seat at the head of the precision rifle chassis table.
