CMP Rifle Match Competition Resumes at Camp Perry
2020 has seen a slew of firearms-related event cancellations as pandemic concerns and reactions have persisted through more than half the year so far. TriggerCon, the NRA Annual Meeting, IWA OutdoorClassics, EnforceTac, and many other regular gatherings have fallen prey to the far-reaching societal effects of the ‘Rona. There has been a great deal of concern that SHOT Show 2021 may do the same, but at the time of this writing it is still on schedule. Many shooting competitions have also been taken off of event calendars in recent months, including the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) National Matches traditionally held at Camp Perry in Ohio. Thankfully, competition has resumed as of September. On September 14th The CMP hosted a Garand-Springfield-Modern and Vintage Military (GSMM) Rifle Match at Camp Perry, and has issued the following press release about the event.
