Typically, once a platform is discontinued by its manufacturer, the aftermarket slowly folds. Few new products are released (unless the platform is alive through other companies) so it comes as a surprise that Mec-Gar, a manufacturer of fine firearms magazines, has announced the release of new Browning BDA magazines with a 10-round maximum capacity.

BREAKING: House Passes Bill MANDATING Transfer of ALL US Army M1911 Handguns to the CMP

The United States House of Representatives has just passed their version of the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and included within it is a provision that will mandate the release of all M1911 handguns currently in US Army inventory to the Civilian Marksmanship Program, for distribution to eligible US civilians. The new bill would overwrite the 2016 NDAA, which allowed for the release of 10,000 of the pistols, but did not mandate it. The text of Section 1064 of the 2018 NDAA is as follows:

At the recent SHOT Show, Browning introduced new shotguns under the title of Wicked Wing. While there are variations of each, the autoloading shotguns come down to two basic forms: the A5 and the Maxus. Browning positions these guns as a personalization of your hunting firearm similar to a “lift kit and bigger tires on the truck” or “even a tattoo.” These specific guns features the Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camo pattern.
