POTD: Bilateral Breach and Clear Native Fury 20
Roy Batty from Blade Runner said: “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain…” ( Source) But have you seen breaching like this? In our Photo Of The Day, we have U.S. Marines with the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion and a United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces soldier showing how to breach in an urban environment during the Native Fury 20 exercise.
POTD: The Norwegian Engineering Team
The Norwegian Army and their Home Guard must be among the most well-equipped armies and forces in the world, and they have plenty of good combat photographers as well. It’s only natural that we see them quite often in TFB’s Photo Of The Day.
POTD: The LMT MARS-L in Explosive Method's of Entry
Breaching by explosives is pretty hardcore, and in our Photo Of The Day, we’re looking at just that. These are combat engineers from the New Zealand Army. They are carrying the MARS-L rifle made by Lewis Machine & Tool Company, with the Trijicon ACOG optic with an RMR red dot.
POTD: Breach – Bang – Clear
Photo Of The Day – And here comes the flash! We’re looking at Combat Engineers from Beast Troop, Regimental Engineer Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment (USA) as they train on door breaching and cratering charges in Lithuania. All you need is to set the charge and run for cover. In my own safe opinion, it looks like they’re standing a little too close for comfort.
BREAKING: Breach Bang Clear Reports Mike Lamb Is Not A Recon Marine
There are very few in the gun community that doesn’t know the name Mike Lamb. Mike has carved a career out for himself as a trainer and all around expert largely thanks to his time in the military as well as his continued training. The report from my friend David Reeder at Breach Bang Clear that Mike Lamb is not a Recon Marine is nothing short of disappointing.
New Meaning to "Live Targets" from the Ukraine
Some training exercises leave a bit to be desired but when you’re in the military you’re there to follow orders, not custom-tailor your own CrossFit program. While there are certainly physically and mentally grueling drills and training exercises going on here in the United States it would appear the foreign militaries have the market cornered on “holy crap” methods. For example, in the Ukraine they take live-fire drills to a whole new meaning.
