TFB Review: Bianchi Shenandoah OWB/IWB Convertible Holster
It’s hard to set yourself apart these days when it comes to holsters – especially ones that are geared towards concealed carry applications. However, I recently took the opportunity to review one of Bianchi’s hybrid leather holsters that caught my eye, and today we’ll be taking a look at it. The Bianchi Shenandoah OWB/IWB holster is a fully convertible, dual-carry holster with the ability to easily switch between IWB and OWB carry positions with minimal parts change and also with a 50% leather construction but in the reverse of how many other companies accomplish this. This holster is more interesting than meets the eye and today I hope I can properly demonstrate its features and advantages to you.
Wheelgun Wednesday: The Pros & Cons Of Speed Strips
This week on TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday, we’ll be taking a look at the concept of the revolver reloading aid, Speed Strips, and the Pros & Cons thereof. When we talk about carrying a revolver for our protection, we really can’t leave out the topic of reloading since most concealable wheelguns only carry five or six rounds. Lord willing, five or fewer rounds will be all that one needs to solve a deadly force encounter, but if not, you’re probably going to have to reload. Enter the concept of the Speed Strip, which is a flexible strip of plastic or rubber (or a substance in between) that holds extra cartridges to reload your cylinder from. Since the speed strip holds the rims of the cartridges, two cartridges can be loaded bullet first into two chambers of the cylinder and peeled off from the Speed Strip at a time. Let’s peel this onion.
TFB Review: Bianchi Agent Shoulder Holster
Bianchi has recently launched their new website and logo, and we’ve done a short series of reviews of some of their holsters. In this third and final review of that series, we’ll take a look at the Bianchi Agent Leather Shoulder Holster. Shoulder holsters aren’t seen that often in recent memory, with the exception of television and in movies, but I still read of accounts of people concealed carrying with one on occasion. Are shoulder holsters still viable? Let’s find out.
Bianchi Leather's NEW Weathered Series Holster Finishes
Contrary to what you might read on Instagram, there are still a lot of people who prefer leather holsters. They provide added comfort when worn in a concealed fashion, and they don’t seem to be going anywhere. Bianchi Leather has decided to add a little more style to their holsters. They have added a new weathered finish as an option for two of their holsters: the Remedy and the Professional. Soon, more holsters will offer this new finish.
Bianchi Releases NEW Shenandoah Convertible Hybrid Holster
Buying several holsters for the same gun, multiplied by multiple firearms, means a lot of dough spent. While there’s no such thing as one holster to fit every need, Bianchi Leather has just released a new holster aimed at cutting down wasted money and space in the holster drawer. Convertible from inside-the-waistband to outside-the-waistband, this is the new Shenandoah OWB/IWB Holster from Bianchi Leather.
TFB Review: Bianchi Universal Revolver Holster – UM84R
The holster maker, Bianchi, recently launched a new website and updated their logo, and asked us to spotlight a few holsters to bring that fact to light. Bianchi has been in the holster making business for more than four decades, and have continued making all types of holsters for armed citizens, law enforcement, and the military under Safariland’s umbrella. Despite Bianchi’s new logo and website, they still remain under Safariland’s ownership. Today, we’ll focus our attention on Bianchi’s Military Universal Revolver holster, model UM84R. This holster is configurable in many different ways to mate numerous different carry styles into one, do-it-all, outside the waistband (OWB) holster. Since I’m an contributing member of TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday squad, I specifically chose to review this Universal Military Revolver holster from Bianchi, let’s see if this older design is still relevant.
TFB Review: Bianchi P.I. Holster- S&W 36, 112 More Gun Models Accommodated
Bianchi has been in the holster making business since the 1970s, and they’re known for their quality leather and nylon holsters. Bianchi just changed their logo and launched a new website, and to highlight that fact, they offered us a chance to test out a few different models, of which I chose the Bianchi P.I. holster for my Smith & Wesson Model 36 J-Frame in .38 Special. Even though this review will feature the holster made for a J-Frame revolver, the readership will be glad to know that the Bianchi P.I. holster can be made for 112 different handguns, including semi-autos, between 11 popular firearms manufacturers.
Bianchi Rebrands to Bianchi Leather to Reconnect with Customers
Many of you OGs here at TFB will no doubt be familiar with the Bianchi brand of leather holsters. Hailing from Florida, Bianchi is a part of the Safariland Group which is a global provider of not only holster products but also many other safety products that fall under the veil of the firearms world. In an effort to reconnect with their customers, Bianchi has opted to rebrand themselves into Bianchi Leather and have also updated their company logo.
POTD: Shotgun at Bianchi Battle Match
POTD, short for Photo Of The Day, is TFB’s daily article series where we try to find pictures that will entertain you. Did you know that credit for the first-ever color photograph taken goes to the mathematical physicist James Clerk Maxwell? At a lecture in 1861 he unveiled what is to be considered as the first durable color photograph. It certainly sounds a lot more interesting than anything I did at school.

Glock 43 Holsters From Bianchi
For fans of Glocks and those simply eagerly awaiting the company’s single-stack 9mm, the arrival of the Glock 43 was a long time coming.
