Franklin Armory Releases New PC-C1 Binary Trigger for Ruger PCCs
One of the main focuses of Nevada-based Franklin Armory is creativity. One particularly creative product series with which they have made waves, their Binary Triggers, has been previously released for ARs, AKs, 10/22s, MP5 clones, and more. These triggers are unusual in that they not only fire when pulled, like a normal semi-automatic fire control system, but in their third firing position, they also fire another round upon trigger release. This assists in rapid firing but manages not to change the legal semi-auto classification, as would normally be the case with a three-position fire control group. A selection of TFB’s prior coverage of these atypical triggers is listed for you below.
TFB Review: Franklin Armory BFSIII M4 Rifle
Many of you are somewhat familiar with the Franklin Armory Binary Trigger. It is a clever use of predetermined evaluations by the ATF of what constitutes a “semi-auto” trigger. For those not familiar with a Binary Trigger, it simply allows the shooter to fire a projectile on the pull and release of the trigger. ATF has determined long ago that release triggers are legal and since the Binary Trigger requires two independent manipulations it is also legal. Well, Franklin Armory has bundled their BFSIII binary trigger into an entry-level AR-15 rifle and offers the BFSIII M4 for those who are budget minded.
[SHOT 2020] BFSIII 10/22 Binary Trigger from Franklin Armory
For SHOT Show 2020 Industry Day at the Range, Franklin Armory brought out their new BFSIII 10/22 Binary Trigger. Binary triggers have been popular for AR shooters for quite some time with Franklin releasing their eight previous binary triggers over the past 5 years. Franklin sure knows how to make a splash (or maybe a plink this time) when it comes to their binary firing systems.
New BINARY SCORPION From Franklin Armory
In what sounds like the title for a summer blockbuster, Franklin Armory has unveiled a Binary Scorpion BFSIII capable of firing on both the pull and release of the trigger. For their latest product, the engineers at Franklin have come up with a new trigger that allows for semiautomatic and binary fire capabilities in the CZ Scorpion EVO series of firearms, while preserving the safety feature that allows the second shot in binary mode by switching the selector back to the safe position.
Limted Edition BFSIII Binary Straight Trigger
Franklin Armory just announced a limited edition version of their popular BFSIII binary trigger. The AR-S1 will be available on Black Friday.
TFB REVIEW: Franklin Armory BFSIII Binary Trigger For H&K Firearms
Until about two months ago, I had no intention of ever pulling a binary trigger. Seemingly serving no useful purpose, I viewed these fire control designs as gimmicky and on par with bumpfiring at hip level using a thumb-in-a-belt-loop stance. But when an Instagram follower and reader suggested that TFB review the new Franklin Armory BFSIII binary trigger for HK style guns, I had a sudden and dramatic reversal of thought. What if I could achieve near fully automatic rates of fire in multiple platforms without investing tens of thousands of dollars in a registered trigger pack? The bosses approved and TFB was lucky enough to receive a pre-production version of Franklin Armory’s newest trigger.
