CMMG’s Radial Delayed Blowback pistols are some of the most popular options for those looking for a pistol caliber carbine. However, with the recent stirrings in the NFA sphere regarding pistol stabilizing braces, the braced pistol option is quickly falling out of favor. CMMG is attempting to at least salvage part of what you have already by offering up new Radial Delayed Blowback Rifle Conversion Kits in its primary pistol caliber carbine cartridges: .45, 9mm, and 5.7x28mm.

CMMG has finally released a . 22LR rimfire version of their popular CCMG Banshee rifle/pistol rigs. The new CMMG 22LR Banshee is stated to be the shortest Banshee made available to date. The .22LR Banshee will also come in several different configurations with different end caps and QD sling options. Full details below in the press release from CMMG.

CMMG had a number of new entries at their booth this year in their 300 Banshee series of AR pistols with telescoping braces. Of note is their 9x19mm conversion upper receiver that when paired with a Magpul PMAG and conversion spring/follower allows shooters to use their existing PMAG magazines instead of a proprietory magazine or a Glock magazine in a proprietory magazine well. Also released was a dedicated 10mm AR pistol in a glossy white finish.

Building on the success of their Radial Delayed Blowback system, CMMG has just dropped a 10mm Banshee into their pistol and short barrel rifle product lineup. The new “best millimeter” gun joins thirteen other Banshee caliber and magazine options, ranging from .22LR through .458 SOCOM. The patented Radial Delayed Blowback system works to help reduce the felt recoil and also make the Banshee a superb suppressor host. Additional details can be found below.

CMMG has announced that for 2019 they are launching a new system of product model and configuration designations. This new system makes it easier to understand the model line of the company by giving their products simple names and categorizing them by type of the weapon and by the grade of the build.

CMMG’s Mk57 series is their line of 5.7x28mm firearms.  Their “Banshee”  model incorporates their shortest barrel in the caliber (5″), as well as a Tailhook PSB.  All Mk57 models use CMMG’s Patent Pending Radial Delayed Blowback (RDB) system found in their GUARD models.  The RDB blowback bolts have a head that is forced to fully rotate to unlock, causing the bolt carrier group to slow down during the firing cycle.  This allows CMMG to use lighter bolts, and lighter, slower bolts mean less recoil.   CMMG’s video illustrates the technology quite nicely.
