Gun Review: MGS' The Citizen Rifle AR-15
When Phil told me I would be getting another AR-15 in for review, I found myself dreading the arrival of yet another black rifle. In my mind, there is only so much that you can do with the AR-15 platform that would come even remotely close to impressing me. Once the MGS Citizen Rifle showed up at my FFL, a quick glance over the rifle revealed that while it was a very nice collection of parts, the only clue that the rifle held a secret power was the rifle length gas tube stuck to a 16″ Criterion 1:8″ twist barrel.
Review: AXTS Freedom Bone Charging Handle
If you have spent any time shooting a suppressed AR-15, you know what gas face is. For those of you that haven’t run into this uncomfortable phenomenon, gas face is caused by the excessive blowback you experience when shooting suppressed. There is a number of charging handles on the market with the aim of helping defeat gas face, but nothing really does the trick. AXTS feels they have the solution with the Freedom Bone ported charging handle.
Review: AXTS Talon Ambidextrous 45/90 Safety Selector
After testing a couple of ambi safeties that didn’t quite stack up to my expectations, I had come to the conclusion that flipping the lever on the right side of the receiver was the best option for me. Not long ago AXTS reached out to TFB and offered up their Talon ambidextrous 45/90 safety selector for review. Seeing as I have almost always been disappointed with ever ambi selector lever, I didn’t have high hopes; boy was I wrong.
AXTS Weapons Systems MI-T556 14.5" Carbine
I had never heard of AXTS before this press release, but I am definitely intrigued by their product. I think the idea of a fully ambidextrous rifle (ready to go out of the box) is a great idea. And you get your choice of pinned muzzle device (if you are not doing it as an SBR). Does anyone here have any experience with their products? Comment below if you have.
