Today’s Photo Of The Day shows the Electronically Remote-Controlled Weapon System of the Pandur 6×6 APC, used by the Bundesheer in Austria.

The “Edelweiss Raid 2019” is an international, military special competition for mountain fighters from 12 nations. The competition teams come from Austria, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and the USA.

The Austrian Army’s Military Police are to be issued a new version of the Bundesheer’s standard issue rifle, the StG 77. The new StG 77A1 MP will be issued to the Bundesheer’s military patrol and military police (Militärstreife) units. The official handover of the first 50 rifles took place on the 5th April.
