POTD: Bulgarian Special Forces and U.S. Army Green Berets
We’re always on the scout for the most interesting pictures around. Today’s Photo Of The Day is a real show-off, with pictures posted by the U.S. Special Operations Command Europe. The location is Bulgaria and we’re looking at a U.S. Army Green Beret assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group as they display their capabilities together with Bulgarian Special Forces to Herro Mustafa, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria.
POTD: Trump 45 Vol. II
It’s not the first time that we see a 1911 dedicated to US President Donald Trump, a connection which is made fairly obvious by the fact that we are talking about the 45th President.
The Archon Firearms Type B is Shipping
Archon Firearms’ Type B pistol is finally shipping to dealers and those who pre-ordered it. Back in November 2017, Arsenal Firearms, Inc. announced they would be changing their name to ‘Archon Firearms’ and rebranding their STRYK B pistol as the ‘Archon Firearms Type B’ at the same time. Shipment of pistols had been planned for spring 2018 but the Archron Firearms rebrand forced them to start the import process over, delaying the shipment of pistols into the US.
The Arsenal Firearms Name is GONE… Now to be known as Archon Firearms, Inc.
Arsenal Firearms has changed the name of their company; thereby, setting back the release of their heavily anticipated Stryk B pistol. This announcement was made to customers, suppliers and business partners of Arsenal Firearms.
New Arsenal Firearms SWITCH Rifles And Suppressors
No, not that Arsenal, the other Arsenal. At SHOT 2017, I briefly swung through the Arsenal Firearms/ Salient Arms International (SAI) booth looking at Glocks, but I must have missed the bigger news. DefenseReview.com is reporting on the company’s new rifle the ‘Switch’. The AR/AK-patterned gun is piston-driven, accepts AK magazines and utilizes a reciprocating side charging handle. Currently the Switch is chambered in either 7.62x39mm or 5.45x39mm.
[SHOT 2016] Prime Manufacturing Group's Stryk Pistols
Not long ago I reviewed the superb Arsenal Firearms Strike One pistol. While I really enjoyed it there were a few areas that I felt could be improved. When I went to the Prime booth I was surprised when I saw what appeared to be a modified Strike One hanging on the wall. After talking to Jim with Prime he informed me that Prime had teamed up with Arsenal Firearms and Salient Arms to improve on the Strike One. The pistol received a stipple job as well as a new slide profile and sights, a flat trigger as well as a trigger job, and a new twist on the name. After a few minutes of fondling it I came to the quick conclusion that Prime Mfg Group did an amazing job improving an already wonderful pistol.

Arsenal Strike One Available Q4 in Europe
Arsenal Firearms (officially: Arsenal Firearms Group of Companies) is expecting approval from the ATF this year, of the AF-1 Strike One pistol. However, this doesn’t mean it will be available on the US market in 2014. The lucky honor will first go to Italy, where Arsenal has one of their companies, with a rough estimated price of $4,000 for the Ergal models (frames made of aluminum 7075). Sales in Italy are expected in Q4. From the link:
Noooo! Arsenal to Cease Production of Entire SLR-106 Line of 5.56 Kalashnikovs
Arsenal is calling it quits on the 5.56 NATO chambered AK. The SLR-106 line of rifles and pistols broke new ground when introduced nearly a decade ago, and remain popular among AK aficionados and those who want the toughness of the Kalashnikov platform and ammunition commonality with the AR15. The SLR-106 series rifles proved that the AK loses none of its legendary reliability when adapted for the NATO round.
