Their offerings are relied upon by a vast number of firearms tinkerers, of both the professional and home-based amateur varieties. NEW: Gunsmith your 1911 Confidently in ERGO's MAST – Modular Armorer's Stand
Most firearm enthusiasts enjoy being shade-tree mechanics of their firearms. There is a sense of satisfaction building your own firearm or even modifying one to your personal tastes. To cater to that segment of shooters ERGO created the MAST (Modular Armorer’s Stand). A simple, but useful platform to hold your pistol while you do your DIY gunsmithing. Likely the most modified and readily available pistol for aftermarket parts is your basic Glock. With that knowledge, that was an obvious first choice for ERGO to introduce their MAST for.
The New Ergo MAST for Glock Pistols
Ergo Grips recently announced a new armorer’s tool for most Glock pistols. Called the Modular Armorers Stand, or MAST, the tool is a stand system that allows you to secure your Glock pistol to a bench through the magazine well.
Critical Glock Armorer's Tool – The Inspection Slide Plate Cover
Most people take for granted the simple, yet effective firing mechanism of the Glock pistols. And to his credit, Gaston did design and build an incredibly robust system that is one of the few portions of the Generation 5 handguns that did not see significant changes. The cruciform, trigger, and disconnector, combined with the slide cuts is a safe and reliable system.
AK Armorer's Block – For When You Want to Be More Precise than a Hammer
If one goes according to legend, the AK-47 would never need fixing. By reputation, the weapon functions under the whole gamut of most unpleasant conditions. Various weapons have been pulled out of mud after decades of submersion to fire again. If that’s the case, why would Crosstac, which touts “Advanced Thinking – Superior Gear” even look to offering their AK-47 Armorer Block?
(Glock) Perfection Breaks – What Goes Wrong & How to Fix It
If “Perfection” is defined as a Glock, I think we have to redefine what “perfection” really means. Don’t get me wrong, the Glock is an excellent handgun (I carry them daily), but they are not bullet proof or completely resistant to the repeated battery of long duty cycles. Various parts in the handgun wear and break.
Review: Michiguns MOACKS Plain Gas Key Staking Tool
Ever had a gas key that came loose? I know I have, especially with some of the bargain prices bolt carrier groups that I have bought over the years. The Michiguns MOACKS Plain is designed to allow the home gunsmith the ability to stake the gas key screws properly without expensive machines. This particular BCG is an IWI that I purchased on closeout and hasn’t come loose yet, but it is a matter of time in my opinion.
Factory Glock Cutaway
Arguably one of the most simplistic handguns, Glocks are lauded for their ease of use and servicing, even for the individual. While most firearms enthusiasts can see how the handgun works by taking it apart (as I did), Glock does produce factory cut-away models, which 7.62x51n80 got his hands on and was kind to share with the world.
Inside a Marine armory
The U.S. Armed Forces have alot of guns. Let me correct myself, the military has A TON of guns. Where are all these kept and stored though? In armories of course. But these mysterious enclaves filled to the brim with boy toys must be an absolute joy to even step inside right? Well, maybe if you like paperwork. And I can say that, because I spent two months in one as an Armory Custodian.
