Aridus Industries SMRT Aridus Follower for 12 Gauge Shotguns

Followers are probably one of the most frequently upgraded parts on tube magazine shotguns. The main feature of most aftermarket followers is better visual and tactile identification of an empty magazine. Aridus Industries has introduced their version of a shotgun follower called SMRT Aridus Follower (SMRT-AF) which besides the mentioned feature also is designed to work reliably with magazine extensions. Let’s see if it is as smart as claimed.

Aridus Industries RMR CROM Now Available

Aridus Industries makes some of the best accessories for shotguns. The QDC and CROM have proven to be the best setups to run on a Beretta 1301. My Magpul Edition 870 has all the Aridus goodies on it. The CROM was designed to allow an Aimpoint T1 or T2 to cowitness the iron sights on a Beretta 1301 Tactical or a Remington 870 with a tall front sight. Adam of Aridus had been planning an RMR version of the CROM specifically for the Mossberg since the screw holes do not allow for an Aimpoint T1.

Beretta 1301 Magpul Stock Adapter By Aridus Industries

For a few months Aridus Industries has been teasing the industry with photos of a Beretta 1301 with a Magpul SGA stock. Nathan S. posted about it back in May. Well Aridus Stock Adapter (ASA) is now up for pre-order for $75. Aridus Industries is also running a separate pre-order package deal with a Magpul SGA Stock for $160. The package deal means you get a Magpul SGA stock for only $85. Not bad for that stock. Aridus Industries is using a Mossberg Magpul SGA stock for their ASA. It will not work with a Remington SGA stock. The SGA Stock and ASA package deal is only available through the pre-order until September 15. After that, Aridus Industries will no longer be carrying the SGA stock on their website.

Aridus Industries' Teases Beretta 1301 Magpul SGA Stock Adapter

Those who have been following my weapons choices for competition will likely remember that I am an avid fan of the Beretta 1301. Previously, they sent me a “tactical” model for review, which I liked so much that I immediately sold my Mossberg 590 (shout out to my Indiana Multigun friends “Dam*it Jerry!) and purchased the 1301 competition at full retail price. (If that is not high praise, I do not know what is).

Dedicated Beretta 1301 Tactical Co-Witnessing Aimpoint Mount | SHOT 2017

At the Beretta booth, I saw a Beretta Tactical 1301 with a distinct optic mount. It is something new by Aridus Industries. The mount is a dedicated Aimpoint mount. It lowers the Aimpoint so that the iron sights co-witness thru the Aimpoint. It looks like the mount replaces the factory rear sight and has an integrated rear peep sight.
